Our Story
ENIGMA ART COLLECTIVE
Enigma Art Collective is an Abuja based contemporary art platform and as a creative collective we organize and host exhibitions and other creative events.
This platform aims to create opportunity for collaboration and artistic exchange as we show case new and emerging artists. The creative concept of our gallery as enigma, is a person or thing that is mysterious or difficult to understand, unique and individual. In this context the use of the word Enigma aims to stir a strong social narrative which uses art as a social vehicle, creating an emotional and conscious connection to the works produced. Enigma Art Collective brings all aspects of art and design under one creative umbrella to inspire and spread the concept of being an Enigma. Our ideologies draw from present and past topics in politics, history, science, philosophy and religion to inform our practice to create a body of work which is both intellectual and visually stimulating. Nonetheless, primary to our production and creative verve is a modern and contemporary approach.
