We extend our deepest condolences to the Premier of Sarawak, YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, on the passing of his beloved wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Hajah Juma’ani Tuanku Haji Bujang.

Puan Sri Datuk Amar will be remembered not only for her grace and quiet strength, but also for her steadfast support of Sarawak’s cultural heritage. Through her patronage of traditional textiles such as keringkam, which included this memorable visit to the Ranee Museum with Her Majesty The Raja Permaisuri Agong, she honoured and uplifted the legacy of Sarawak’s traditional artisans.

Our thoughts are with the Premier and his family at this time of profound loss.

Al-Fatihah.
