The Art People Gallery returns to Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong 2026 with works from Margaret Lau, ready to share new stories, perspectives, and inspirations!

Margaret Lau, a graduate of the University of Cambridge School of Architecture and an ARB-certified architect, formerly worked at Foster & Partners in London. Now a full-time artist, she is known for her realistic, large-scale recreations of historical and modern treats, celebrated for their intricate detail and three-dimensional effect.

Karry Hon is a Hong Kong visual artist specializing in hand embroidery and punch needling. Her multidisciplinary practice explores themes of identity, home, culture, and community through works that connect personal narratives with contemporary perspectives.

Artist Nurul Asikin Binti Roslan’s artwork adorns the walls of the newly opened
Plaza Premium Lounge at Langkawi International Airport.

Inspired by the Mah Meri ethnic group—part of the Orang Asli indigenous communities of West Peninsular Malaysia—Asikin’s works reflect their rich cultural heritage. This aligns seamlessly with Plaza Premium Lounge’s commitment to showcasing Malaysian culture and identity. The project was completed in early March 2026.

This diptych draws inspiration from the Bunga Moyang, or “ancestral flower,” a significant cultural symbol within the Mah Meri community. Traditionally woven and featured in ceremonial festivities, the motif represents continuity and reverence for ancestry. Through this work, the artist translates the Bunga Moyang into a contemporary visual language, illustrating the strength and enduring spirit of the tribe.

Fariza Basri is a Malaysian contemporary artist known for her intricate miniature watercolor paintings. Working on a remarkably small scale, she captures moments from everyday life, memory, and imagination with striking detail and precision. Her works invite viewers to slow down and discover intimate worlds within each piece.

French photographer Tiphaine Beausseron resides in Hong Kong. Her art investigates the unseen ties that bind us together despite separation and absence. She uses a sophisticated visual language based on poetic minimalism to produce pictures that are open to personal and intimate interpretation. Her images reside at the nexus of modern sensibility and minimalism, utilizing subtle symbolism and a delicate interplay of light and shadow. Her art considers the vital connections that ground and uplift us during a period of increasing alienation. Grazing the Feelings, Cherishing the Earth, and Anchoring the Glow are the series from which the pieces in this catalogue are taken.
