This teacher just had a solo exhibition in Paris, yet he teaches every Tuesday morning here at Wanawani Gallery. 🎨

Meet Teacher Tay Poi San, a third generation Nanyang school ink painter who has been devoted to Chinese ink painting since the 1980s. Trained under three generations of ink masters, his works have travelled from Shenzhen to Seoul, Amsterdam to Bangkok.

In 2021, his work was selected among the World’s 500 Best Chinese Ink Masterpieces, and in 2025, his solo exhibition Ink Rivers: The Living Heritage of Tay Poi San opened in Paris.

Today, he continues to share his craft locally, teaching traditional Chinese ink painting at Wanawani every Tuesday morning, from brushwork and ink control to Nanyang style composition.

这位老师刚在巴黎举办了个人画展，然而每周二早晨，他依然在 Wanawani Gallery 授课。🎨

郑贝山老师是一名第三代南洋画派水墨画家，自80年代起潜心钻研水墨艺术，师承三代水墨名家。他的作品足迹遍及深圳、首尔、阿姆斯特丹与曼谷。

2021年，其作品入选世界500幅最佳中国水墨画作。2025年，他更于巴黎举办个人画展。

如今，他依然在本地传承水墨艺术，每逢星期二早上于 Wanawani 授课，分享传统水墨画的用笔、墨韵与南洋画派构图。

In our Children’s Creative Art Class, that’s exactly what your child builds. Through gouache, watercolour, and fine ink linework, they develop real skills in colour, line, and observation, along with the confidence to express ideas of their own.

And they learn it in the best way possible with Teacher Lily, who is gentle, endlessly patient, and creates a space where children feel safe to try, to make mistakes, and to fall in love with creating.

投入书法教育将近20年，丁士伟老师的热情一直都在 🖌️

这二十年拿毛笔的经验，不仅让丁老师累积了满满的教学心得，也让他坚定了一个想法：练好一手字，是能陪伴你一辈子、谁也拿不走的能力。身为马来西亚国际现代书画联盟的副总秘书长，他会亲自在课室里带你体验毛笔字的美。

在 Wanawani 画廊的书法班，你不会感觉到任何压力。丁老师坚持采用一对一、看个人进度的“慢教学”，这里没有赶进度的焦虑，更不需要去跟别人比较。无论你是零基础的成人、想让孩子静下心来的家长，还是纯粹想找个地方放松写字的朋友，老师都会从最基本的拿笔、运笔和写字的架构开始，一步步带你感受水墨字体的独特魅力。
