Special thanks to everyone at Hin Bus Depot 興公司 for everything! I am also grateful to have Seruyan Ronnie Bahari and Sumay Cheah for taking the time to join us and their wonderful work included in our performance night yesterday evening.

More than an exhibition, this is an opportunity to support our Orang Asli artists and communities, celebrate their rich cultural heritage, and help keep their traditions alive for generations to come.

Interconnect to Disconnect is an exhibition that reflects on the relationship between the culture and the natural environment of the Semai community in Tisung, Sungkai, Perak, through the insights and observations of our resident artists.

Join us on 27 September for the Resident Artists Exhibition, featuring works by Chong Kok Choon and Lyu Yun-Shan.

Through deep research and community engagement, the artists explore traditional forms of storytelling, transforming them into contemporary expressions that preserve and honor Semai narratives. The exhibition also proudly features artworks created by the women and children of Tisung, offering intimate glimpses into their culture—capturing both their profound connection and growing vulnerability to disconnection from the land they call home.
