By creating Tech Dome Penang, we will offer visitors fun-filled learning and a place to share ideas and be inspired. Tech Dome Penang is a unique concept, utilizing the

allocated space to create "a world within a world", a miniature city made to tell the story of technology through interactive and immersive engagements. It showcases innovation, learning and entertainment in such a way as to bridge the understanding of technology and its impact on its visitors.

✨ Women in Zcience (WIZ) Technology Workshop (Group A) ✨

This week, the Women in Zcience (WIZ) 2026 Workshop continued with an exciting focus on Engineering. 🚀

Students immersed themselves in the world of 3D design, exploring the process of designing, slicing, and understanding how 3D printing works. Through the workshop, they gained hands-on exposure to 3D design software while developing a deeper understanding of 3D printing technology and its applications. 💻🖨️

To apply their creativity and teamwork skills, the students were divided into groups to design 3D storage cases for lip balm and perfume products. 🌸✨

The activities will continue with a task where students create their own 3D models independently, bringing their creative ideas to life while showcasing their newly developed skills in the upcoming competition.

✨ Strengthening Penang’s STEM & Talent Ecosystem ✨

On 8 May 2026, Tech Dome Penang was honoured to host a Roundtable Discussion with the Minister of Economy, YB Tuan Haji Akmal Nasrullah Bin Haji Mohd Nasir, together with YB Jagdeep Singh Deo, Deputy Chief Minister II of Penang, and Dato’ Richard Chung, CEO of Penang STEM.

The session, held under the Penang STEM Talent Blueprint initiative, brought together representatives from government agencies, education institutions, STEM organisations, talent development partners, and industry leaders from the semiconductor and technology sectors.

Key discussions focused on:
🔹 Future STEM and semiconductor talent demands
🔹 Strengthening STEM and TVET pathways
🔹 Fostering students’ interest in science and digital technology
🔹 Industry-government-education collaboration
🔹 Developing future-ready talents for Penang’s innovation ecosystem

The engagement highlighted the importance of long-term collaboration in nurturing STEM interest among students while preparing a skilled workforce aligned with evolving industry needs.

🚀 A new era of interactive learning begins at Tech Dome Penang! 🤖✨

Today, Tech Dome Penang proudly welcomed YB Datuk Chang Lih Kang, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, who officiated the launch of our latest exhibition, AI Scientist, bringing a fresh and interactive way for the public to experience science and artificial intelligence.

🌟 The AI Scientist exhibition allows visitors to step into the world of AI, where virtual scientists inspired by great minds such as Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein can answer questions, spark curiosity, and make science more engaging and accessible for all.

The launch was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring YB Datuk Chang Lih Kang, YB Jagdeep Singh Deo, Tech Dome Penang CEO Ts. Khoo Boo Wooi, MOSTI Secretary-General YBhg. Dato' Ts. Dr. Nagulendran, and iFLYTEK Southeast Asia Senior Regional Manager Dave Xiao.

This milestone reflects strong collaboration between government and industry partners in advancing STEM and AI education in Malaysia 🇲🇾
