We believe that learning is a lifelong journey of discovery and is not just limited to school lessons. Many families, young adults and entrepreneurs are looking for new ideas and stimulating and meaningful ways to spend their time. By creating Tech Dome Penang, we will offer visitors fun-filled learning and a place to share ideas and be inspired. Tech Dome Penang is a unique concept, utilizing the

allocated space to create "a world within a world", a miniature city made to tell the story of technology through interactive and immersive engagements. It showcases innovation, learning and entertainment in such a way as to bridge the understanding of technology and its impact on its visitors.

🇹🇼✨ A memorable day of STEM exploration, friendship, and cultural exchange at Tech Dome Penang! ✨🇲🇾

On 5 June 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming Bao Dao Leisure (Hongye Elementary School, Taiwan) to Tech Dome Penang for an exciting day of discovery and hands-on learning.

From exploring over 120 interactive STEM exhibits to experiencing the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics firsthand, the students were immersed in a world of curiosity, creativity, and innovation. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn brought incredible energy to our galleries!

One of the most meaningful moments of the visit was the special gift exchange between Bao Dao Leisure and Tech Dome Penang. More than just a gesture of appreciation, it symbolised the friendship, cultural connection, and shared passion for education that unite us across borders.

We are honoured to have been part of your journey and grateful for the opportunity to share the excitement of STEM with such a wonderful group. Thank you for visiting, learning, and creating unforgettable memories with us.

✨🔮 Exploring the Science of Light, Reflection, and Illusion! 🌈✨

We were delighted to welcome students from Solarise Tuition Centre to Tech Dome Penang for an engaging STEM learning experience through our MirrorLusion Workshop.

During the workshop, students explored the fascinating science behind light, reflection, and optical illusions through two hands-on activities. They built their own colourful kaleidoscopes to discover how mirrors and light create beautiful symmetrical patterns, and experimented with infinity mirrors to observe how multiple reflections can produce the illusion of endless depth.

Through creativity, experimentation, and hands-on learning, students gained a deeper understanding of scientific concepts while developing curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

At Tech Dome Penang, we believe the best way to learn science is to experience it firsthand, and these young learners certainly embraced the spirit of discovery throughout the day! ✨

🌿✨ A Day of Discovery, Creativity, and STEM Learning! ✨🌿

Our STEMtastic Camp: Botanical Bloom Lab brought young minds on an exciting journey where nature, science, and art came together in a truly hands-on learning experience.

Participants explored the fascinating world of plants by creating their own herbariums with pressed specimens and experimenting with eco-printing techniques using leaves and flowers to produce beautiful natural prints on fabric. 🍃🌸

Beyond creativity, the camp encouraged participants to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through engaging STEM activities designed to spark curiosity and exploration. By combining science, innovation, and creativity, students were inspired to think like scientists, innovators, and future changemakers.

Of course, the excitement continued with our special Lab Legends: Experiment X session, where participants took on a mystery challenge and put their investigative skills to the test. 🔬✨

Thank you to all our young explorers for making this school holiday camp a memorable one. We hope the seeds of curiosity planted today will continue to grow long into the future. 🌱💚

🌟 Reflections, Patterns & Endless Possibilities! 🔮✨

A group of enthusiastic students from Nplus Centre recently visited Tech Dome Penang to take part in our MirrorLusion Workshop, where they explored the fascinating world of light, mirrors, and optical illusions.

The session began with students creating their own kaleidoscopes and observing how simple reflections can transform into beautiful, ever-changing patterns. They then experimented with infinity mirrors, uncovering how strategically placed mirrors create the illusion of lights stretching endlessly into the distance.

Beyond the fun and creativity, the workshop introduced students to the science behind reflection and visual perception, encouraging them to ask questions, make observations, and discover how everyday materials can produce extraordinary effects.

Nothing inspires learning quite like seeing science in action, and it was a joy to watch the students explore, experiment, and bring their creations to life throughout the workshop.

STEM Showcase 2026 (AI Edition) is officially on the horizon!

Today, Tech Dome Penang hosted the official press conference announcing STEM Showcase 2026 (AI Edition), held in conjunction with Minggu Sains Negara (Northern Zone).

We were honoured to welcome:

📅 Date: 24–27 June 2026
📍 Venue: SMJK Jit Sin II, Seberang Perai Selatan, Pulau Pinang

The four-day programme will bring together students, educators, industry leaders, universities, and communities through STEM exhibitions, competitions, workshops, interactive activities, and industry engagement sessions.

With a special focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and future technologies, participants will gain exposure to AI, robotics, automation, digital innovation, and emerging STEM career pathways. Visitors can also look forward to exciting competitions including the AI Video Challenge, AI Poster Design Challenge, Student in Technology Challenge (SiTC), AI Robotic Challenge, and Drone Competition.

STEM Showcase 2026 is expected to welcome approximately 20,000 participants and deliver 78 STEM workshop sessions involving more than 3,000 students in hands-on learning experiences.

The programme is proudly supported by Micron Malaysia as the Main Sponsor, alongside strategic industry partners including Exabytes (MY), Motorola Solutions Malaysia, MR DIY, Cytron Technologies Malaysia, and many others. Strong support is also provided by academic and institutional partners such as Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), SEAMEO RECSAM, Penang, National STEM Association, and Entopia by Penang Butterfly Farm .

Together, these collaborations continue to strengthen STEM education, inspire innovation, and equip future generations with the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital world.
