We believe that learning is a lifelong journey of discovery and is not just limited to school lessons. Many families, young adults and entrepreneurs are looking for new ideas and stimulating and meaningful ways to spend their time. By creating Tech Dome Penang, we will offer visitors fun-filled learning and a place to share ideas and be inspired. Tech Dome Penang is a unique concept, utilizing the allocated space to create "a world within a world", a miniature city made to tell the story of technology through interactive and immersive engagements. It showcases innovation, learning and entertainment in such a way as to bridge the understanding of technology and its impact on its visitors.

For Elize Chin, Manager, IJM Land, and Jessica Ng, Senior Sales, IJM Land, the AI Horizon Exhibition & Showcase offered plenty to explore!

Their highlights:

🔹 A lively, “quite energetic” atmosphere—with plans to return next year!

⚡ BUILD IT. POWER IT. LET IT RACE! ☀️🚗

Micron Chip Camp 3.0 | Two Districts, One Hands-On STEM Experience! 🔧💡

What happens when students get their hands on electronics and solar-powered cars? It's time to build, experiment and put their ideas to the test! 🔋🚗

For this session, students from Seberang Perai Selatan and Seberang Perai Tengah came together at Tech Dome Penang to take part in two activities: DIY Electronics and Solar Car.

We welcomed students from SMK Sungai Acheh, SMK Methodist Nibong Tebal and SMK Tun Syed Sheh from Seberang Perai Selatan, alongside students from SMKA Sheikh Jalaludin Tahir, SMK Guar Perahu and SMK Sama Gagah from Seberang Perai Tengah.

From assembling electronic components to building and testing solar-powered cars, students explored how science and technology work in practice. The activities encouraged them to think critically, solve problems and collaborate with their peers while learning beyond the classroom. 🔬🧠

Through these hands-on activities, students had the opportunity to:

🔧 Apply basic electronics concepts
☀️ Explore solar energy and its applications
🧩 Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills
🤝 Practise teamwork and collaboration
🚀 Build a stronger interest in STEM

STEM is more than learning concepts from a textbook. It's about understanding how things work by building, testing and experimenting. 💡

Science in motion, powered by the sun! 🌞⚡

Students from Fairview International School joined us at Tech Dome Penang for the Solar Motion Explorers Workshop, where they explored the exciting world of solar energy through hands-on learning.

From discovering how sunlight can be converted into energy to understanding how solar power can set a car in motion, students had the opportunity to connect scientific concepts with real-world applications. 🚘🔋

Through this interactive experience, we hope to inspire young minds to explore renewable energy, develop their curiosity, and discover how science and technology can contribute to a more sustainable future. 🌱💡

Curiosity sparked, creativity flourished, and STEM came to life at Tech Dome Penang! 🚀✨

We were delighted to welcome students from SK Padang Tembak, SK Bagan Ajam and SK Sungai Setar for an exciting day of exploration and discovery through our IGNITE: STEM Education for the Young Generation programme! 🎉

Through hands-on workshops and interactive activities, students explored the fascinating world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) beyond the classroom. 🌟

From discovering how our bodies work 🫁❤️ and building their very own table lamps 💡🔧 to exploring Artificial Intelligence with Quarky 🤖, each activity encouraged students to think creatively, experiment with new ideas and develop their problem-solving skills.

The excitement continued with the STEM Race, where students put their observation skills and teamwork to the test while exploring our interactive exhibits! 🏃‍♀️🔬

Tech Dome Penang was pleased to welcome delegates from The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (Penang Branch) and The Institution of Engineers, Singapore - IES for a visit to our science centre!

We were honoured to welcome Er. Dr. Tan Seng Chuan, President of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) and Emeritus President of The Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES), alongside the following delegates from The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (Penang Branch):

Last Friday, we welcomed students from Pinang Learning Center for an exciting STEM learning experience at Tech Dome Penang! 🎉

From hands-on workshops to interactive exhibits, students explored the fascinating world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) through fun and engaging activities. 🧪💡

🎨 Primary School Students: Got creative with our Mirrorlusion Workshop, discovering the fascinating world of mirrors, reflections and optical illusions!

🎹 Secondary School Students: Explored the science of sound and music through our Mini Piano Workshop, combining creativity with hands-on STEM learning.

🔍 More to Explore! Both groups also had the opportunity to explore our interactive exhibits, sparking curiosity and discovering the science behind the world around them.

And just like that, AI Horizon 2026 comes to a close! 🚀

Over two days at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre (PWCC), industry professionals, innovators and technology enthusiasts came together to explore one important question: How can we turn AI's potential into real-world impact?

💡 CONFERENCE | Exploring AI Across Industries

Industry experts and professionals shared insights on AI applications across smart manufacturing, logistics, business growth and digital transformation. The discussions explored both the opportunities and challenges of putting AI into practice across different sectors.

🛠️ WORKSHOPS | Turning Knowledge into Practice

AI is more than understanding what technology can do. It's about discovering how to apply it.

Through hands-on learning and practical discussions, participants explored AI agents, workflow automation, Claude Cowork and Code, and AI system thinking, gaining insights into AI-powered productivity and the development of AI-driven solutions.
