Ming Chenghua ceramics (1465–1487 CE, Jingdezhen imperial kilns) are legendary for refined elegance, marking a shift from early Ming bold grandeur to delicate, soft beauty. Extremely pure fine white clay, thin yet sturdy body, translucent with faint warm flesh-pink glow when held to light; glaze lustrous, smooth as jade, creamy white with subtle warm undertones.
Famous for two stars:
✅ Blue & White: Uses “Equal Blue” (Pingdeng Qing) cobalt—gentle greyish-blue, calm and even, no harsh streaks
✅ Doucai (Contrasting Colours): Technical masterpiece—underglaze blue outlines + overglaze soft red, yellow, green, aubergine, fired twice. Iconic tiny pieces: Chicken Cups, Tianzi jars, stem cups, sparse fluid painting, gentle palette.
High-quality, carefully crafted, few flaws; valued worldwide—“Among Ming wares, cherish Chenghua; among Qing, treasure Yongzheng”. Rare, collectible, timeless art.

明代成化朝（1465–1487）是中国陶瓷史上的标杆时期，历经正统、景泰、天顺空白期后景德镇御窑重开烧造，跳出明初雄浑厚重风格，建立精巧温润、内敛雅致的审美范式，流传至今备受珍视。

胎釉特质
胎土反复淘洗提纯，质地极致细腻纯白，胎壁轻薄匀称，透光可见柔和淡肉红色光晕；釉层饱满莹润、光洁似玉，白中微泛黄，触感温润顺滑；部分砂底呈暖米黄色，俗称“米糊底”，细腻不粗糙。

代表品类

1. 青花瓷：改用江西乐平等青料，摒弃早期浓艳铁锈斑，发色匀净柔和、蓝中含灰，清新淡雅；纹饰布局留白舒展，笔触流畅灵动，花鸟、婴戏、山水简约传神。

2. 斗彩：成化瓷巅峰成就。先以青花绘轮廓入窑高温烧制，再填绘鲜红、娇黄、嫩绿、茄皮紫等釉上彩，二次低温焙烧而成。传世名品鸡缸杯、天字罐、葡萄纹高足杯多小巧精致，色彩温润不张扬，工艺难度极高，存世寥寥，屡创拍卖纪录。

官窑制度严苛，残次品一律击碎深埋，成品品质均一精良，少见大型重器，以掌中赏玩小件居多。“明看成化”并非虚名，其内敛精致、简约纯净的美学，奠定后世彩瓷发展脉络，成为中华工艺文化不朽符号
