全馬第一家潮州戲曲文化藝術空間--《潮藝館》在檳城慕韓別墅正式啟動！
First Teochew opera, puppet show museum and performance space in Malaysia!

一名封了箱的潮劇演繹家，一堆封塵的絢麗戲服與道具，一箱箱寫著歲月的潮州木偶，一份對潮人文化的執著和熱忱。 。 。
在馬來西亞著名文化遺產保護及中華文化的熱衷推手- 林玉裳女士的牽針引線下，她和慕韓別墅合作開創了潮州戲曲文化藝術空間--《潮藝館》，延續了她與〈金玉樓春木偶劇團〉的傳奇故事。她出身潮劇世家，外婆楊清音女士曾是50年代南洋潮劇名伶，母親杜愛花女士更是“老榮秀春班”出色的女樂師。自幼受戲曲的熏陶下，她不僅承接父母的衣缽，成為木偶劇團的掌櫃人，更是創辦了〈金玉樓春潮劇團〉。她，就是大馬潮州戲曲達人-- 吳慧玲。
《潮藝館》將帶您走進大馬潮州戲曲的歷史空間，讓您一覽珍藏的手抄劇本和鐵枝木偶；帶領您遊覽戲棚後台那神秘的角落，讓您體驗戲班忙碌的運作；讓您為這些木偶人注入新生命, 延續潮藝文化。

Shadow works with light, marionettes with strings, iron rod with the rod, and glove puppets take the hand into the figure itself.
Four ways of working, four distances between a person and a puppet.

These crafts travelled with migration and grew into different forms along the way. Those who kept them going are scattered across Asia.

A lifetime spent behind the stage, and now they step out front.
They gave a lifetime to the puppet, and found themselves in it.

皮影借光，线偶引线，铁枝执杆，掌中偶则以手入偶身——

这些技艺随移民漂洋过海，各自长出不同的面貌。守着它的人，散落亚洲各处。

一生隐身戏台之后，这一次走到台前。
他们把一生交给偶，也在偶身上找回自己。

光影之间，故事流转。

来到宋卡，当然不能错过这里深具代表性的传统艺术——Nang Talung 南泰皮影戏。

一方幕布，一盏灯光，
一尊尊手工雕刻的皮影，
配合音乐、唱腔与操偶师灵巧的双手，
在光影之间，演绎一个又一个故事。

传统的斗戏形式——
三台泰南皮影戏，同时上演！

三个戏台、三种不同的表演风格，
皮影在灯光下灵活舞动，
锣鼓、音乐、唱腔此起彼落，
传统的技艺在同一个夜晚同时绽放，精彩绝艳。✨

Nang Talung 不只是皮影，
它承载着南泰地区的历史、信仰、生活与民间故事，
也是一代又一代艺人用双手守护下来的文化记忆。

Day 2｜Nang Talung｜Traditional Shadow Puppetry of Southern Thailand 🇹🇭

Between light and shadow, stories come alive.

In Songkhla, one cannot miss Nang Talung, a distinctive traditional art form of Southern Thailand.

A screen, a light, beautifully handcrafted leather puppets,
music, voices and the skilful hands of the puppeteers —
together, they bring stories to life through light and shadow.

And what made this evening even more spectacular?

Three traditional shadow puppet performances taking place simultaneously!

Three stages, three performances,
different rhythms, movements and storytelling styles —
all coming alive under the glow of the lights.

A truly unforgettable celebration of traditional puppetry. ✨🪆

Nang Talung is more than shadow puppetry.
It carries the history, beliefs, everyday life and folk stories of Southern Thailand —
a living cultural memory passed down through generations.

If you'd still like to visit, the museum will be 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒄 from 9am – 5pm. You're welcome to walk in, explore, and watch the sessions as they happen.
