"Quemando la Casa" by artist Marcos Castro

'For "Quemando la Casa" (Burning Down the House), Castro employs the element of fire as the silent protagonist in scenes where the spectator has the viewpoint of being inside a house burning down while looking through windows that show an external reality of vibrant scenes of Nature. In a gestural tone, exuberant plants, rivers, and wild animals take over what looks like an abandoned civilization. 

By expressing this act of destruction, he sets a renewal cycle. The regeneration is seen as a purification process where fire transforms everything it encounters; it's the archetypal force of transmutation. 

For Carl Jung, the House symbolizes our psyche, a manifestation of the soul. Our homes are amongst the most primal of our collective symbols, our shelter, the limit between me and "the world."'

"Anomalous Galaxies" by artist Ding Yi

"Anomalous Galaxies, Ding Yi's first solo exhibition in Latin America. The exhibit comprises ten paintings elaborated between 2020 and 2021, which belong to his series "Appearance of Crosses". The title of the exhibition refers to an homonymus text developed especially by the curator, critic and art historian Cuauhtémoc Medina for a publication accompanying the exhibit. Ding Yi's works are presented as reflection objects on what shapes us as subjects in the world; they reveal the neatness of his techinque and the constant investigation in his process of creation, developing an own system."

"Pos' se acabó este cantar" by artist Ana Segovia

"In post-revolutionary Mexico, even with unhealed wounds after the civil and war conflict, the image of the charro emerged; Although it already existed as a representative of the ranching trade or practitioner of the charrería, towards the 40s of the 20th century it was intended to convert it into a figure of social conciliation. This operation was supported by a buoyant film industry.

Seeking rapid acceptance among the public, the charro praises masculine behaviors and archetypes. His figure reveals nobility and honesty as well as arrogance and authoritarianism."
