Inside Voices: What the Room Holds
A participatory project led by artists Duška Malešević and Pep Walls

🥂 Join us for the opening of Inside Voices: What the Room Holds on Friday 18th September at 6:00PM.

What can a room hold? Memories, emotions, fragments of experience and voices waiting to be heard.

Developed through a series of creative workshops, this participatory project brings together photography, text, drawing and mixed media works that explore the participants’ inner worlds, memories and aspirations.

Bringing these works into a contemporary art context, Inside Voices considers creativity as a space for expression, reflection and connection, while affirming access to culture as a fundamental right for all.

In Avatars, Monsters, {Robots}, Ghosts, Letta Shtohryn explores the avatar as more than a digital character. It becomes an extension of identity, carrying presence, relationships and desire across virtual worlds.

As games increasingly allow us to customise who we are, this work asks who gets to be the protagonist, how digital bodies are shaped by technology, and what happens when our online selves exist within systems that can change or disappear overnight.

Exploring avatars, monsters, robots, and ghosts as figures that challenge what it means to be human, the exhibition brings together recent works shaped by war, technology, ecological crisis, and machine intelligence. Through video, installation, and digital media, the exhibition examines how cameras, algorithms, archives, and AI reshape the ways we see, remember, and relate to one another.
