On Friday evening, we officially opened the doors to 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗻𝗮: 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 · 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆 · 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲, celebrating the life, work and enduring legacy of one of Malta’s most influential modern artists.

Bringing together Caruana’s distinctive ceramics, reliefs and public installations, the exhibition explores his belief that art should be accessible to all, inviting audiences to engage with it through colour, material, scale and play.

As the second exhibition in the VP Gallery’s series celebrating Maltese modern art, Public · Play · Private offers an opportunity to rediscover Caruana’s remarkable contribution to Malta’s artistic landscape and the lasting impact of his work.
