The first edition of Maker Faire Malta is coming to Esplora Interactive Science Centre from 2–4 October 2026. 🔧✨

This international celebration of creativity, innovation and making will bring together makers, innovators, artists, scientists, educators, entrepreneurs and DIY enthusiasts for three inspiring days of ideas, discovery and hands-on experiences.
Forming part of Esplora’s 10th anniversary celebrations, Maker Faire Malta will offer a unique platform to showcase creations, exchange ideas and inspire the next generation of makers.

Present for the official launch were Ms Mary Ann Cauchi, Senior Director of Esplora Interactive Science Centre, Ms Kiki Mizzi, Deputy Director of Esplora STEAM Engagement.

🇲🇹 Esplora ċċelebra l-10 Anniversarju tiegħu b’serata memorabbli f’Villa Bighi, li mmarkat għaxar snin ta’ dedikazzjoni biex tispira l-kurżità, l-iskoperta u l-interess fi STEAM. 🎉

Iċ-ċelebrazzjoni laqqgħet flimkien mistednin, kollegi, imsieħba u ħbieb għal lejla speċjali bħala ċelebrazzjoni ta’ Esplora. Is-serata kienet tinkludi vjaġġ lura fil-memorji tal-aħħar 10 snin, kunċert live minn Ivan Grech & Friends, u riċeviment fil-ġonna ta’ Villa Bighi.

L-avveniment laqqa’ flimkien rappreżentanti tal-Gvern, Xjenza Malta, impjegati attwali u eks impjegati ta’ Esplora, edukaturi, riċerkaturi, imsieħba u kollaboraturi li kkontribwew għall-iżvilupp taċ-Ċentru minn mindu fetaħ il-bibien tiegħu fl-2016.

Grazzi mill-qalb lil kull min kien parti mill-vjaġġ ta’ Esplora matul dawn l-aħħar għaxar snin. 🔬

🇬🇧 Esplora celebrated its 10th Anniversary with a memorable evening at Villa Bighi, marking a decade dedicated to inspiring curiosity, discovery and interest in STEAM. 🎉

The celebration brought together guests, colleagues, partners and friends for a special evening celebrating Esplora. The evening included a trip down memory lane through the past 10 years, a live concert by Ivan Grech & Friends, and a reception in the gardens of Villa Bighi.

The event brought together Government representatives, Xjenza Malta, current and former Esplora employees, educators, researchers, partners and collaborators who have contributed to the Centre’s development since it opened its doors in 2016.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of Esplora’s journey over the past decade. 🔬

This grant is for young people who want to investigate a real scientific question 💡

Young people between 13 and 21 years old can get up to €700 for their projects
