Man learned how to make pottery long before he learned how to read or write. It was thousands of years ago, and purely by accident, that the firing of clay began. When man noticed that the clay recipients exposed to bonfires was becoming hard, pottery making was discovered and history was made. Today we have ceramics factories and workshops, and a dynamic ceramic art scene with artists participating in exhibitions and ceramics festivals to show their skills and creations to the public.
