« l greatly appreciate the density of form and color, as well as the tactile quality of touch in a painting. My recent works, in particular, involve glazes of pure, saturated, translucent layers of paint. The goal is to construct a pictorial space that is deep using pure colors and a volumetric form that I find exciting and innovative. Galerie SINIYA28 is thrilled to present DANCE AND TURBULENCE, a solo exhibition of paintings
and sculptures by Said Ouarzaz, on view from May 1 to 24, 2025.

In Said Ouarzaz’s work, we are drawn into a mysterious choreography known only to the artist
himself. Vivid colors pulse through his canvases, where rhythm repeats, patterns entangle, and forms twist in a hypnotic flux. What emerges is a dreamscape that hovers between abstraction and figuration—a realm both spontaneous and precise.

Called the painter of “immediacy,” Ouarzaz works without sketches or plans. Yet within the urgency of his gesture lies a deep persistence, a meditative repetition that gives his work a timeless resonance.

Without the foundation of traditional literacy Ouarzaz has instead forged a visual script—one born of intuition, movement, and the silent urgency to speak through form.

Rita Alaoui’s show The Water Under my Skin has been extended until April 10th!! We are happy to share with those who could not make it.

Through two series of works in The Water Under My Skin, Rita Alaoui explores the healing of a world undergoing rebirth, driven by an act of human resilience. This work underscores the crucial interconnection between humans and other living beings.

In the first series, Alaoui creates paintings that evoke imaginary landscapes blending aquatic and terrestrial worlds. Organic and plant forms sometimes intertwine with traces of human presence: erased tennis courts, abandoned lifeguard chairs, bicycles, or other objects that catch the artist’s eye and bear witness to human omnipresence.

The second series feature large-format paper paintings, primed with natural henna pigment and then layered with coatings. These paintings celebrate both the power and fragility of life, depicted through flowers in full bloom.
