A closer look at Roman craftsmanship:
Let yourself be inspired by the beautiful mosaic and other Roman artifacts and draw a lovely sketch of the mosaic and its many patterns. Maybe you can also spot the old or the young man in it? And the flowers? Brooches were also very popular in Roman times. In the museum, you can take inspiration from these pieces of jewelry and make your own fibula (as they are also called) out of felt.✨

a collaboration between the MH[s]D and the City & Event Management of the municipality of Diekirch. Across three monthly workshops (May-July), participants explore different forms of performing arts + a closing Open Mic Event in August!

🎶The 1st Mikro-Mëttwoch: Sing & Songwriting Edition:

🫵😎Are you between 12 and 16 years old? Want to write your own songs but not sure how to start, or just looking for a bit of guidance? Then the Sing & Songwriting Workshop is exactly what you’re looking for!
In this workshop, Laurie (aka ZANA) and Thomas (aka Maale Gars) will give you a practical introduction to songwriting and music production. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have written your own lyrics and maybe even recorded your very first song! ✨

📣Announcement: Drawing competition in collaboration with the Italian Embassy:

Alongside the exhibition “On a journey with Pimpa”, we invite you to take part in the drawing competition “On a journey with Pimpa: Draw Luxembourg!”🎨

Participants are invited to draw Pimpa next to an iconic element of Luxembourg, such as a monument, a landscape, a culinary specialty, or any other expression of the local cultural heritage.🇱🇺

ℹ️The competition is open to children aged 4 to 10, who can submit their creations from May 8 to August 31, 2026 at the museum MH[s]D.

🏆The prize-giving ceremony will take place in October 2026.

🇱🇺🤝🇮🇹 The initiative aims to celebrate the friendship between Italy and Luxembourg and promote awareness of the character Pimpa.

For over 50 years, Pimpa — the famous little dog with red spots — has accompanied generations of children, inspiring imagination, curiosity, and a love of discovery ✨
The exhibition invites visitors of all ages to step into her colorful world, where every journey becomes an adventure 🌍

Ons Stroossennimm an hir Geschicht[en] – # 13: d’ Rue Dr Jean-Pierre Glaesener

D’ Rue Dr Jean-Pierre Glaesener fänkt un hannert dem Kierfecht, op enger Kräizung mat der Kiirfichtsstrooss (Rue du cimetière), Op den Haemerich (Route d’Erpeldange an der Blummestrooss (Rue des Fleurs). Se leeft als Verlängerung vun der Blummestrooss bis bei d’ Kräizung mat der Strooss Am Walebroch (Rue du Walebroch), wou se an ee Vëlos-a Spadséierwee iwwergeet, deen an d’ Industriegebitt zu Angelduerf féiert.

De Jean-Pierre Glaesener (och Glesener geschriwwen) gouf den 29.06.1831 zu Bierg gebuer. 1852 huet hien sech zu Dikrech als Dokter néiergelooss, an ass hei bis zu sengem Dout den 11.06.1901 bliwwen. An där Zait war hien enner anerem Member vun der Schouliwwerwaachungskommissioun, Kantonaldokter, Member vum Collège Médical a Member vun der Société des sciences médicales. Seng Memberschaft an der Section historique de l'Institut de Luxembourg weist op säin zweet Tätegkeetsfeld als Historiker hin. Hien huet verschidden touristesch an historesch Publikatiounen erausginn, ënner anerem "Diekirch et ses environs: Esquisse historique et topographique à l'usage des touristes, dans le Grand-Duché de Luxembourg" (1880), "Le Grand-Duché de Luxembourg historique et pittoresque" (1885) a "Le monument mégalithique (en ruines) dit 'Deivelselter' près Diekirch et sa réfection 1892" (1895). Un der Rekonstruktioun vum Deiwelselter 1892 war hie bedeelegt.
