Tranquility.
The air tinged with murunga leaves, lemon, dust, grass and sea spray.
The wind swirls between the greens, sweeping every creature in a new direction.
Branches hold the promise of new life,
It cradles the cleverly woven, carefully hidden nests of our little feathered friends.
They chirp and hop, bathing on velvet leaves.
Not a care in the world
This is theirs, they are heirs because it just is.
And what is, will always be.

'Duende' an exhibition by the adult artists of The Secret Garden Colombo. Our Chief Guest was veteran artist and attorney Saumya Jayasekera who encouraged these talented artists to express freely and enjoy the process of painting without losing their identity. We had a beautiful evening together celebrating eachother. A heartfelt thank you to Prodograph for the lovely photos!!

This painting is up for grabs by silent auction. It is inspired by Kandinsky's famous painting 'Concentric Circles'. Each part of the painting is done by a participating artist at the art exhibition 'Duende'. Bidding starts at LKR 10'000 (USD35) and proceeds will go towards a Children’s charity. The higest bidder will not only own this beautiful piece, but may join us as we hand over the proceeds.
