PARK TAEHOON (b. 1993)

박태훈은 반복적으로 화면을 응시하는 과정 속에서 생성되는 새로운 인상을 탐구합니다. 화면을 분할하고 여러 층을 중첩시키는 방식으로, 작가는 하나의 시점이나 고정된 질서에 머무르지 않는 회화를 구축해왔습니다.

박태훈의 작업에서 핵심이 되는 개념은 ‘층 (layer)’입니다. 서로 다른 풍경과 시간, 시점이 하나의 화면 안에서 교차하고 충돌하며 독자적인 질서를 형성합니다. 작가는 이러한 회화적 구조를 통해 끊임없이 확장되는 유토피아적 공간 ‘Parktaeria’를 구현합니다. 그의 화면은 단순한 재현을 넘어, 세계를 새롭게 바라보고 조직하는 하나의 회화적 실험으로 작동합니다. 그는 다수의 전시에 참여하며 활동을 이어오고 있으며, 인천국제공항에서 열린 《Kiaf & Incheon Airport Exhibition》 개인 부스전에서 최우수상을 수상하며 주목받았습니다.

이번 전시에서 박태훈 작가의 작품 속 다양한 요소들이 만들어내는 흐름과 긴장을 직접 경험해보시기 바랍니다.

Park Taehoon explores the new impressions that emerge through the repeated act of gazing at an image. By dividing and layering the pictorial surface, he constructs paintings that are not premised on a single viewpoint or fixed order.

A central element in Park’s work is the “layer.” Different landscapes, perspectives, and temporalities intersect and collide within a single canvas, forming their own painterly order. Through these painterly structures, Park constructs the ever-expanding utopian space 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘵𝘢𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢. His canvases do not simply represent the world, but function instead as painterly experiments that reconsider and reorganize the way we perceive the world. Park has participated in numerous exhibitions and gained recognition after receiving the Grand Prize at the 𝘒𝘪𝘢𝘧 & 𝘐𝘯𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘰𝘯 𝘈𝘪𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘌𝘹𝘩𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 solo booth presentation held at Incheon International Airport.

FORTHCOMING EXHIBITION

김리아갤러리는 2026년 5월 14일부터 6월 13일까지 박태훈 개인전 《Obsesstopia》를 개최합니다. 이번 전시는 끊임없이 반복되고 축적되는 형상과 색의 흐름 속에서 인간의 내면과 감각의 구조를 바라봅니다. 화면 위 요소들은 서로를 밀어내고 끌어당기며 관계를 형성하고, 그 과정 속에서 긴장과 움직임이 끊임없이 생성됩니다.

《Obsesstopia》는 ‘Obsession(강박)’과 ‘-topia(관념적 공간)’를 결합한 개념으로, 작가가 구축해온 내적 세계를 의미합니다. 화면은 하나의 결론에 머무르지 않은 채 계속해서 변화하고, 관객은 그 흐름을 따라가며 자신만의 감각과 시선을 마주하게 됩니다.

작가와 함께하는 오프닝 리셉션은 5월 14일 오후 5시에 진행됩니다. 많은 관심과 참석 부탁드립니다.

Kimreeaa Gallery presents Park Taehoon’s solo exhibition 𝘖𝘣𝘴𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱𝘪𝘢, on view from May 14 to June 13, 2026. The exhibition explores the structure of human perception and inner states through repetition, accumulation, and continuous transformation. Forms and colors are layered across the canvas, creating shifting relationships that generate tension, movement, and evolving flows.

𝘖𝘣𝘴𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱𝘪𝘢—a neologism combining “obsession” and the suffix “-topia”—refers to the internal world the artist has constructed. Rather than arriving at a fixed conclusion, the works remain in an ongoing state of change, inviting viewers to trace the movements and relationships unfolding within the densely filled surfaces.

An opening reception with the artist will be held on May 14 at 5 PM. We warmly invite your interest and attendance.

김아라 개인전 《단 하루도 이해하려고만 들면 긴 시간이다》의 전시 도록을 소개합니다.

김아라는 건축, 조각, 회화의 경계를 넘나들며 그 교차점에서 고유한 조형 언어를 구축해온 작가입니다. 김리아갤러리에서의 첫 개인전을 통해 선보인 신작들을 중심으로, 번지고 스며드는 농담이 어둠의 밀도를 쌓아 올리며, 화면을 시간과 물성이 축적된 공간으로 확장합니다.

도록에는 한주옥 독립큐레이터의 평론과 함께 전시 전경, 작가 노트, 약력, 작품 목록 등 전시의 주요 내용을 한눈에 살펴보실 수 있습니다.

Introducing the exhibition catalogue of Kim Ahra’s solo exhibition 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘢 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘦 𝘋𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘓𝘰𝘯𝘨, 𝘐𝘧 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘛𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘜𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥.

Kim Ahra moves across the boundaries of architecture, sculpture, and painting, developing her own sculptural language at their intersection. In the new works presented in her first solo exhibition at Kimreeaa Gallery, washes and layered tonalities build densities of darkness, transforming the surface into a space where time and materiality accumulate.

The catalogue includes a critical essay by independent curator Han Joo-ok, along with an exhibition text, installation views, artist note, artist CV, and a list of works.

김리아갤러리는 4월 8일부터 12일까지 코엑스에서 개최되는 2026 화랑미술제에 홍미희 작가의 솔로부스로 참여합니다. 홍미희 작가는 “저부조회화”를 지속적으로 연구하며, 풍경의 순간에서 얻은 영감을 가장 단순한 선과 색이라는 조형 요소로 환원해냅니다. 이번 전시가 홍미희 작가의 고유한 시선과 작업 세계를 보다 깊이 있게 조명하는 자리가 되기를 기대합니다.

Kimreeaa Gallery is delighted to announce a solo exhibition by artist Hong Mihee at 2026 Galleries Art Fair, scheduled to take place at Coex from April 8 to 12. Hong Mihee expands the conditions of painting through what she describes as “low-relief painting.” Drawing inspiration from moments encountered in landscapes, she reduces visual impressions to essential formal elements such as line, color, and structure. We hope this exhibition offers an opportunity to deeply illuminate Hong Mihee’s distinctive perspective and artistic world.
