프리즈 하우스 서울(Frieze House Seoul)은 한국 동시대 미술의 다양한 흐름과 갤러리 생태계를 조명하는 새로운 릴레이 전시 시리즈 《Summer Sparks》를 개최한다. 첫 번째 전시 《Summer Sparks I: Impulse》는 2026년 5월 28일부터 6월 10일까지 진행되며, LEE & BAE (부산), THEO (서울, 자카르타), Kimreeaa Gallery (서울), PS CENTER (서울), Pinpoint Art Centre (서울)가 참여한다.

김리아갤러리와 이번 전시에 참여하는 황도유 작가는 회화적 표현에 깊이 몰두하고 연구하는 예술가로, 섬세한 붓질을 통해 캔버스에 그려지는 그의 작품들은 기묘하면서도 아름다운 풍경으로 표현된다. 전시에 선보일〈에덴의 동쪽〉시리즈는 동명의 소설이나 영화에서 차용했으나 특정 내러티브를 전달하기보다는 작품이 지닌 상징성과 감각적 여운에 주목하며, 명제가 환기하는 정서와 분위기 속에서 관람자가 각자의 방식으로 의미를 느낄 수 있다.
Frieze House Seoul presents Summer Sparks, a new relay exhibition series connecting Korean galleries and the artists they represent through a shared summer programme. The first of three iterations, ‘Summer Sparks I: Impulse’, runs from May 28 to July 10, 2026, featuring exhibitions by Lee & Bae (Busan), THEO (Seoul and Jakarta), Kimreeaa Gallery (Seoul), PS Center (Seoul) and Pinpoint Art Centre (Seoul).

Hwang Do You, participating in this exhibition with Kimreeaa Gallery, is deeply devoted to and engaged in painterly expression, and his works, rendered through delicate brushwork, evoke landscapes that are both uncanny and beautiful. 𝘌𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘌𝘥𝘦𝘯, a series presented in this exhibition, borrows its title from the eponymous novel and film but does not follow their narrative. Rather than conveying a specific story, the work emphasizes symbolic resonance and sensory aftereffects, allowing viewers to interpret its meaning individually through the emotions and atmosphere evoked by the piece.
