2010년 설립된 아뜰리에 아키는 동시대 미술의 흐름을 파악하고, 한국 현대미술을 중심으로 유망한 컨템포러리 작가들을 국내외 아트신에 소개하는 허브의 역할을 해오고 있다. 갤러리는 건축계의 노벨상으로 꼽히는 프리츠커상을 수상한 프랑스의 건축가 장 누벨이 설계한 Galleria Forêt에 위치하고 있으며, 2022년에는 동일한 건물 내 두 번째 공간인 아뜰리에 아키 P2를 성공적으로 확장했다. 또한 매년 다양한 기획 전시를 비롯하여 해외 주요 아트페어에 국내외 역량 있는 작가들을 선보임으로써 한국미술의 잠재력과 가능성을 알려왔으며, 매년 10개 이상의 기획전을 개최하며 영향력 있는 작가의 작업 활동을 지원하고 엄선된 작품을 전시하는 데 주력하고있다. 앞으로도 아뜰리에 아키는 현대미술의 새로운 패러다임과 다양한 조형 세계를 선보이는 동시대 작가를 소개하며 미술의 가능성을 확장하고, 미술 시장을 선도하는 역할을 지속하고자 한다. ATELIER AKI is a leading contemporary art gallery representing influential emerging contemporary artists in Korea. Founded in 2010 and located in the Jean Nouvel-designed Galleria Foret, the gallery expanded in 2022 with a second space, ATELIER AKI P2, within the same complex. Over the years, ATELIER AKI has showcased works by next-generation Korean artists at international art fairs such as Art Miami, London Art Fair, Art 021, Art Central Hong Kong, Art Jakarta, and KIAF, in addition to curating collaborative projects with Kakao and launching a collaborative project with Salvator Ferragamo. ATELIER AKI remains dedicated to supporting influential artists, most notably through presenting over ten
thoughtfully curated group exhibitions annually.

ATELIER AKI artist Yumi Chung 정유미 was featured in the July issue of AVENUEL.

Drawing inspiration from the light, air, wind, and water of the natural world, Yumi Chung has developed a deeply personal visual language. In this interview, she reflects on her current exhibition, 《Mindscape Gardener》, on view at Lotte Department Store Main Branch, as well as the perspectives on nature that inform her practice and the process through which they evolve into painting.

Yumi Chung‘s latest works will be presented by ATELIER AKI at Kiaf SEOUL 2026, taking place at COEX from September 2–6.

정성준 ‘s solo exhibition ‘Next Stop: Tomorrow’ is soon at ATELIER AKI!

“I paint a future where humanity and nature coexist. (···) If earlier journeys were a search for utopia, the animals now come to realize that the place everyone longs for is not somewhere waiting to be found. It begins the moment we choose to understand one another and act together. Ultimately, utopia is not a destination, but an attitude.

Kwon Neung‘s solo exhibition, 《A Seasonal Study of the Everyday: Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring》, has been selected for Seoul Art Guide’s August issue as one of its featured exhibitions in Exhibitions Reviewed by Art Critics.

”This exhibition marked the artist‘s first presentation in Korea of more than ten new and major works. Within each canvas, iconic images from art history, contemporary visual culture, scenes from artists’ lives, and everyday moments converge to form newly reimagined ‘landscapes of our time.’ These encounters between disparate images, transcending both time and place, compose a new ‘seaonal study of the senses.’“ — Kyehoon Ha, Art Critic
