갤러리 플래닛의 홍세진 작가는 디 언타이틀드 보이드의 2026년 기획전 《Found in Translation》에 참여합니다.
전시는 웨다르 리야디와 홍세진의 작업을 통해 감각과 경험이 현실을 이미지로 ‘번역’하는 과정을 살펴봅니다. 웨다르는 촉각과 물질을 출발점으로, 홍세진은 청각과 시각이 교차하는 경험을 바탕으로 현실의 파편을 낯선 풍경으로 재구성합니다. 전시는 우리가 바라보는 세계가 객관적인 현실인지, 각자의 신체와 감각을 통해 해석된 세계인지 질문합니다.

Gallery Planet artist Sejin Hong is participating in Found in Translation, a 2026 curated exhibition presented by The Untitled Void.

Featuring works by Wedhar Riyadi and Sejin Hong, the exhibition explores how sensory perception and experience “translate” reality into images. While Riyadi begins with touch and materiality, Hong draws on the intersection of auditory and visual experience to reconfigure fragments of reality into unfamiliar landscapes. The exhibition asks whether the world we see is an objective reality or one interpreted through our individual bodies and senses.

이 전시는 두 언어를 굳이 하나로 포개지 않는다.
둘은 같은 것의 다른 이름이 아니라, 한 사건의 서로 다른 국면을 비춘다.
자연이 손을 거두는 인간을 말한다면,
창발은 그 거둔 자리에서 스스로 정렬하는 사물을 말한다.

이 전시의 세 작가는 그 두 국면 위에 함께 서 있다.
그들은 형태를 부과하지 않고 조건을 세운 뒤 물러선다.
그리고 그 물러난 자리에서, 형태는 스스로 돋아나기 시작한다.

This exhibition does not force the two languages into one.
They are not two names for the same thing but two phases of a single event.
If Self-So speaks of the human being who withdraws the hand, emergence speaks of the things that align themselves in the place left behind.

The three artists of this exhibition stand together upon those two phases.
They do not impose form; they set conditions and then step back.
And in the place they have stepped back from, form begins to rise of its own accord.

2026 프리즈·키아프 서울과 함께한 한 주를 마칩니다.

프리즈 서울 B05에서는 홍경택·최소영의 대형 회화와 서지우의 조각을 선보인 3인 프레젠테이션을 소개했습니다.

키아프 서울 A43에서는 김한나·이경미·백경호·허보리·홍세진 다섯 작가가 그려낸 인간과 자연, 도시와 기억, 물질과 감각의 이야기를 나눴습니다. 이번 부스는 아트시(Artsy)가 선정한 ‘베스트 부스 5’에 이름을 올렸습니다.

두 부스를 찾아주신 컬렉터와 관객, 동료 갤러리 여러분께 깊이 감사드립니다.

또한 지난 9월 2일(수) 청담나잇에는 늦은 밤까지 《스스로 그러한》 전시에 많은 분들이 찾아주셨습니다. 9월 18일까지 진행되는 전시에 많은 관심 부탁드립니다.

갤러리 플래닛은 김한나·홍세진 개인전으로 이어가겠습니다. 두 작가의 다음 이야기도 많은 성원 바랍니다.

That‘s a wrap on our week at Frieze and Kiaf SEOUL 2026.

At Frieze Seoul (B05), we presented a three-artist showcase — large-scale paintings by Hong Kyoungtack and Choi Soyoung alongside sculpture by Suh Ziu.

At Kiaf SEOUL (A43), five artists — Kim Hanna, Lee Kyoungmi, Baek Kyungho, Hur Boree, and Hong Sejin — shared stories of humanity and nature, city and memory, matter and sensation. The booth was named one of Artsy’s Best 5.

Our deepest thanks to the collectors, visitors, and fellow galleries who came to both booths.

And on Cheongdam Night this past Wednesday, September 2, many of you visited 《Self-So》 late into the night. The exhibition runs through September 18 — we hope you‘ll come see it.

Gallery Planet now continues with solo exhibitions by Kim Hanna and Hong Sejin. We look forward to what these two artists have to say next.
