FB page concerning Dutch Art and Dutch Museums, mainly for Japanese researchers and students.
日本国内のオランダ語圏の美術史研究者や学生が交流することを目指すコミュニティーです。

我が国ではオランダ美術史に対する関心は高く、数多くの展覧会が開かれるだけでなく、関連書籍もしばしば刊行されます。フェルメール人気はその最たるものでしょう。しかし、これだけ関心が高いジャンルであるにもかかわらず、オランダ美術史を学問領域として選択するアカデミックな人々の数はさほど多くはありません。それとともに、オランダ語圏の美術史を対象とする研究者同士（大学教員であれ、美術館・博物館学芸員であれ、学生であれ、無所属の研究者であれ）が、互いに顔を合わせる機会は限定されています。

「オランダ美術史研究会」は、様々な世代のオランダ美術史研究者の交流の場をつくることを目的としています。国内外のオランダ美術史研究に関わる情報を発信しつつ、将来的にはオランダ美術史研究に関心のある人々が、オンラインのみならず、直接対話する機会を作ってゆきたいと思います。

Website of Dutch Art History in Japan, for researchers, students, curators and art lovers. There are lots of exhibitions and publications on Dutch Art History, especially on Vermeer and Rembrandt in Japan, but academic and research-based study on this field is strongly needed, especially for students and researchers of younger generation. This page aim to collect the information on Dutch art history, and search for the occasion for research meeting for Japanese art historians on Dutch Art. Although still beta version, this site is going to be much better in the future. (FB page managed by Hiroshi Kumazawa)

Nu te zien in Rembrandts kunstcaemer: een vroeg zeventiende-eeuwse Japanse helm, onze nieuwe aanwinst! Conservator Leonore van Sloten: ‘Rembrandt heeft zijn Japanse helm mogelijk gekocht in een van de winkels in de Warmoesstraat waar overzeese voorwerpen werden verkocht. Deze objecten waren door zeelieden naar Amsterdam gebracht; bij goederen uit de bezette gebieden ging het soms om geroofde objecten. Met Japan hadden de Hollanders een ander soort relatie; de VOC kreeg als enige buitenlandse handelsonderneming het officiële recht van de Japanse militaire leider (sh**un) om met, en vanuit Japan te handelen. Sindsdien hebben Nederland en Japan een bijzondere connectie. Ook daarom is de helm een mooie toevoeging aan onze collectie. Maar Rembrandts fascinatie voor objecten uit verre oorden staat natuurlijk voorop.’

Now on view in Rembrandt's art room: an early seventeenth-century Japanese helmet, the new addition to our permanent collection! Curator Leonore van Sloten: 'Rembrandt may have bought his Japanese helmet in one of the shops in the Warmoesstraat where overseas objects were sold. These objects had been brought to Amsterdam by sailors; goods from the occupied territories sometimes included looted objects. However, the Dutch had a different kind of relationship with Japan; the VOC was the only foreign trading company to receive the official right from the Japanese military leader (sh**un) to trade with and from Japan. Since then, The Netherlands and Japan have had a special connection. That is one of the reasons why the helmet is a special addition to our collection. But Rembrandt's fascination for objects from faraway places is of course paramount.'

オランダ美術史の大重鎮で、レンブラントをはじめ多数の著作で知られる Gary Schwartz のブログにて、いま国立西洋美術館寄託となっているフェルメール（？）《聖プラクセディス》と、アムステルダム国立美術館 Rijksmuseum AmsterdamのKitchen Maidとの比較から始まる、フェルメール初期作品の人物像分析。そしてこれは、現在「Dutch Heritage Amsterdam」（旧名Hermitage Amsterdam、そう、エルミタージュのアムステルダム別館であり、ウクライナ侵攻をきっかけに、エルミタージュ本体との関係を絶った美術館・ギャラリー）での”Kitchen Maid”の展示にかかわる Garyの講演会と関連する内容。
