Working with a variety of materials including wood, clay, and washi paper, Matsuo creates paintings, vessels, and sculptural works. His forms possess an honest sense of fluctuation, while their presence remains difficult to place within conventional categories such as mingei, craft, or contemporary art. We invite you to experience the quiet and comfortable atmosphere created by his works.

陶芸家・伊勢崎陽太郎さんの個展「HAL」を開催します。
⁡
本展では、AIによって生成されたキャラクター「HAL（ハル）」シリーズを発表します。伝統的な造形の中に宿るエネルギーと躍動感、そして新たな挑戦から生まれた表現をご覧ください。

伊勢崎陽太郎（1995年備前市生まれ）は、岐阜県多治見市を拠点に活動する陶芸作家です。備前焼の伝統的な環境で育ち、伝統陶芸と現代陶芸デザインの双方を学びました。高温焼成を軸に、茶碗や酒器、立体作品を制作。土の物質性や表面の質感、構造の明快さを重視しながら、継承と実験性が交差する独自の陶芸表現を探求しています。

mizusai is pleased to present “HAL,” a solo exhibition by ceramic artist Yotaro Isezaki, opening in the second half of June.
⁡
This exhibition introduces the “HAL” series, featuring characters generated through AI. We invite you to experience the energy and vitality embedded within traditional ceramic forms, as well as the new expressions that have emerged through the artist’s latest creative explorations.

Born in Bizen, Okayama in 1995, Yotaro Isezaki is a ceramic artist based in Tajimi, Gifu. Raised in the traditional environment of Bizen ware, he studied both traditional ceramics and contemporary ceramic design. Focusing on high-temperature firing, he creates tea bowls, sake vessels, and sculptural works. Through a practice that emphasizes the materiality of clay, surface texture, and structural clarity, Isezaki explores a unique ceramic language where tradition and experimentation intersect.
