We are showcasing a wide range of ukiyo-e prints featuring elegant women from various eras ❀❀

One of the main highlights is Ito Shinsui's "Passing Rain."
The original painting, executed in color on silk, of a woman with an umbrella in the rain carries a quiet, unforgettable beauty.
This is the first original painting ever displayed at our museum.✨

We invite you to enjoy this dynamic yet finely detailed hanging scroll, an original painting executed in color on silk.
Displayed beside it is the original of Hokusai's The Great Wave off Kanagawa, a work beloved by visitors from around the world.

Our new special exhibition,”Beautiful Japanese Women in Ukiyo-e,” will open on Tuesday , January 27.

This exhibition features masterpieces by renowned ukiyo-e artists such as Kitagawa Utamaro, Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Hiroshige, and Utagawa Toyokuni Ⅲ, among many others.

Through these works, you can appreciate how each era - from Edo to Showa - reflected the beauty of its time.

One of the highlights of our museum is the opportunity to appreciate ukiyo-e woodblock prints - crafted with exceptional skill - up close.

Our current exhibition, “22 Amazing Ukiyo-e Artists,” will be on view until Sunday, January 25.
