Carlos Rolón's solo exhibition 'ALL WE HAVE IS RIGHT NOW' is on view at the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art（US） through December 6, 2026.

1970年 アメリカ、シカゴ生まれ。
コロンビア・カレッジ・シカゴで絵画を学び、1989年に卒業。アメリカの自治領であるプエルトリコの家系に生まれたロロンは、その背景から文化的アイデンティティや帰属意識の構築について考え、制作を行う。現在のアメリカ民主主義の動向を追いながらも過去の政治制度や独立運動、儀礼、スピリチュアリズム、美学などの文脈を踏襲し、装飾的で色鮮やかな平面作品や立体作品を作る。その素材は鉄、鏡、ガラス、アクリル板、花や古布にまで渡り、時には空間を意識した家具や壁面も手掛け、ポストコロニアルの場でコミュニティとのつながりを提供し、パブリックとプライベートの隔たりに橋を架ける。
2007年の第52回ヴェネチア・ビエンナーレ国際美術展にウクライナ代表として参加し、2018年にはルイジアナ州のニューオリンズ美術館で大規模個展を開催。
KOTARO NUKAGAでは、2021年に個展「Future Reminisce（未来の追憶）」を開催、2023年に松山智一と共にグループ展「ながくとも四十に足らぬほどにて死なんこそめやすかるべけれ」をキュレーション、また数々のアートフェアに参加。

Born in Chicago, the United States in 1970, Carlos Rolón graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 1989 with a concentration in painting and drawing. Rolón's family hails from Puerto-Rico, an unincorporated U.S. territory, and his heritage plays a large role in his exploration of questions of inclusion, aspiration and cultural identity. The artist explores the effects of past political systems and movements on themes of ritual, spirituality, and beauty, particularly in relation to current day issues in America, transforming them into decorative and vibrant paintings and sculptures. Using mediums ranging from iron, mirror, glass, and acrylic panel, to flowers and vintage fabrics, to installations and site-specific works like murals and furniture, Rolón's works aim to break down social barriers in postcolonial spaces and bridge the divide between public and private.
He was selected as the representative of the Ukrainian Pavilion in the 52nd Venice Biennale, 2007, and held a large solo exhibition at the New Orleans Museum of Art, Louisiana in 2018.
At KOTARO NUKAGA, He held a solo exhibition 'Future Reminisce' in 2021, curated group exhibition 'Die Young, Stay Pretty' with Tomokazu Matsuyama in 2023. He has also participated in numerous art fairs.

KOTARO NUKAGA（天王洲）では、2026年9月12日（土）– 10月17日（土）、Rhizomatiks（ライゾマティクス）による個展「After Understanding」を開催します。

本展の中心となるのは、回転するステンレスの円盤に、ダイヤモンドの針で一筆書きの線を刻み続けるプロッターです。線は途切れることがなく、一度入った溝は、消すことも塗り直すこともできません。

会場では、稼働するプロッターの実機と、刻み終えた金属作品を同時に展示します。プロッターは会期を通じて線を刻み続けるため、来場のたびに円盤の状態は変わります。

知識は、長いあいだ、人間に理解され、説明され、共有されることによって知識になってきました。しかしいま、その順序が揺らぎ始めています。理解されるより先に生まれ、確かめられ、次の出来事を動かしていくものが現れています。

本展は、この時間差をひとつの運動として提示します。目の前で何かが生まれ続けている。その規則を知り、結果を見ることはできても、起きたことの全体を読み戻すことはできない。理解の外側で進み続けるものと向き合うとき、人間は何を見て、何を信じ、何を引き受けるのでしょうか。

KOTARO NUKAGA Tennoz is pleased to present 'After Understanding', a solo exhibition by Rhizomatiks, from Sep 12 – Oct 17, 2026.

At the heart of the exhibition is a plotter that continuously engraves a single, unbroken line into a rotating stainless steel disc using a diamond stylus. The line never breaks, and once a groove has been cut, it can neither be erased nor redrawn.

The exhibition presents the working plotter alongside completed metal works. As the plotter continues to engrave throughout the exhibition, the condition of the disc changes with each visit.

Knowledge has long relied on human understanding. That order is shifting: phenomena now act before we grasp them.

This exhibition frames that gap as movement: things keep emerging before us, knowable in rule, visible in outcome, never fully retraceable. What do we see, believe, and answer for?

Daisuke Miyatsu joins the exhibition as guest curator and has contributed an essay.

小金沢 健人は2026年7月26日（日）から11月8日（日）にかけてKunststiftung Hohenkarpfenで開催されるグループ展「Bewegte Landschaft – Tanzen mit der Wirklichkeit」に参加します。

風景とは固定された場所ではなく、「見る者のまなざし」と「その先にあるもの」とのあいだに生まれる関係である――本展は、この馴染み深い概念をあらためて捉え直すことを促します。

小金沢は、シュルレアリスムの手法「カダヴル・エクスキ（Cadavre Exquis）」の原理に基づき、会場で新たなドローイングを制作し、それを映像作品へと展開します。風景を固定された形としてではなく、絶えず生成しつづける運動として立ち上げるプロセスです。

Takehito Koganezawa will participate in 'Bewegte Landschaft – Tanzen mit der Wirklichkeit' at Kunststiftung Hohenkarpfen from July 26 – November 8, 2026.

Landscape is not a fixed place, but a relationship—between the viewer's gaze and what it falls upon. This exhibition invites visitors to reconsider that familiar concept.

Drawing on the surrealist method of the "Cadavre Exquis"（Exquisite Corpse）, Koganezawa will produce new drawings on site and develop them further into a video work. Through this process, landscape emerges not as a fixed form but as a continuous movement—something that keeps being generated.

Michael Rikio Ming Hee Ho will present new works at KOTARO NUKAGA's booth at Tokyo Gendai 2026, held from September 11 to 13, 2026.

1996年 ハワイ生まれ。東京を拠点に活動する広東・日系アメリカ人のアーティスト。
2018年にカリフォルニア大学ロサンゼルス校（UCLA）で美術学士号を取得した後、平面から立体、そしてその中間に位置するような作品を制作し、鑑賞者と作品のあいだに起こるその場限りの対話を促す。バーバラ・クルーガーやアンドレア・フレイザーといったアーティストに師事したホーの作品は、象徴的なイメージと太字のテキストを主に組み合わせる。そうしたイメージやテキストは、単体であれば挑発的だったり、直接的だったりするものの、組み合わされることで意味が多重になり複雑化する。これらの作品は、不透明な社会批判をもたらし、鑑賞する者を解釈する側に位置づけようとする不条理でユーモアをもった尺度を生む。

Michael Rikio Ming Hee Ho（born in 1996, Hawaii）is a Cantonese-Japanese American artist practicing in Tokyo. After graduating BA in fine arts from UCLA in 2018, Ho works in painting and sculpture to create complex works that stimulate situational discourse between the viewer and the work. Studying under artists such as Barbara Kruger and Andrea Fraser, Ho’s works frequently use a combination of symbolic imagery and bold-type texts that are provocative or confronting when they are stand-alone but ambiguously complex when combined – the result being an opaque social commentary of absurdist and comical scale that puts the viewer in a position of interpretation.

KOTARO NUKAGA（六本木）では、2026年8月1日（土）から9月12日（土）まで、オリオール・ヴィラノヴァの日本初個展「Original Copy」を開催します。世界各地の蚤の市で収集したポストカードを主たる素材とするヴィラノヴァは、現在開催中の第61回ヴェネツィア・ビエンナーレ スペイン館で《Los restos》を発表し、国際的な評価を得ています。

本展ではポストカードによる新作を発表。無数に刷られ、人の手を渡ってきた印刷物が投げかける問いと、ぜひ会場にて向き合っていただければ幸いです。

オープン前日の7月31日（金）18:00より、ピラミデビル2Fの6ギャラリーが「夕涼みの会」を開催。冷たいドリンクを片手に展覧会のプレビューをお楽しみください。

本書は、2017年1月20日 – 5月28日にマドリードのドス・デ・マヨ・アートセンター（CA2M）で開催された「Collection XV」展に伴い刊行された作品集で、同館のコレクションへの介入を起点に、「展示する」という行為そのものを考察しています。

本書にはマドリードの美術館から集められた空の展示ケースが図版として収められています。

Published on the occasion of 'Collection XV' at Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo（CA2M）, Madrid（January 20 – May 28, 2017）, this publication takes the artist's intervention in the center's collection as its starting point to reflect on the act of exhibiting itself.

True to Vilanova's practice of using postcards gathered at flea markets as a starting point for his work, the images in this publication capture empty display cases collected from museums across Madrid. It is both a catalogue and a sequel to his previous publication, "WITHOUT DISTINCTION".

KOTARO NUKAGA（天王洲）では、2026年7月4日（土）から8月8日（土）まで、ニール・ホッド  による個展「Flowers of Memory」を開催中です。 
 
ホッドはこれまで、テルアビブ美術館（イスラエル）、サラ・ヒルデン美術館（フィンランド）や、欧米のギャラリーを中心に作品を発表してきました。また、Art Basel等の国際的なアートフェアでも作品が紹介されるなど、批評と市場の双方で高い評価と人気を獲得してきた、現代美術における重要な存在です。 
 
本展で展示される〈100 Years Is Not Enough〉は、パンデミック期にホッドが自然のなかで過ごした際に生まれた、「生きていることの美しさを受けとめるには百年では足りない」という実感から名付けられています。リネンやキャンバスの上に重ねられた油彩とクローム、そこに注がれる酸やアンモニアの化学反応を経て立ち上がる絵画は、銀色の鏡面のなかに咲き誇る花々の楽園を浮かべ、観る者の像をそのまま画面のなかへと迎え入れます。
