We are please to present Michelangelo Consani “My Favorite Spring” through July 9. In the summer of 2022, we were all devastated and confused hearing the news of Michelangelo’s accident. It was also private and we did not disclose the fact or we did not know how. Last year, he sent us a proposal of an exhibition. It consisted in 2 parts : one in confusion, small objects made of bronze that are casted from wax pieces he was making in a hospital, the other part with a bite into an apple, beautiful plants and fruits from his garden made of marble from Carrara. Also the continuation of an homage to Masanobu Fukuoka with the marble potatoes + one real one. They all came to life in Tokyo. Michelangelo Consani quotes Pia Pera who transformed her own illness into a forum of contemplation and poetic writing. In Michelangelo Consani’s new works, we see life, chaos, serenity, reflection of light. His art making with its story told in quiet poetry, with pride in Italian materials, empowers and encourages.
