Experimental film culture vol.7 in Japan ～ポレポレオルタナティブ～
上映会：2026年4月29日(水・祝）13時30分–

泉太郎の新作《放散中のトーテム/プロミネンス》が、４月29日より東京のSpace & Cafe ポレポレ坐で開催される「Experimental film culture vol.7 in Japan ～ポレポレオルタナティブ～ 」で上映されます。
アートを軸に活動する泉太郎は近年、「不可知についてのプロセス」を構想してきました。今回はポレポレ坐に根付いた「自然」を検証して参照しながら、「禁足地とモビリティ・ガバナンス、インフラと誘拐、神話の太陽と太陽を指す指、スキップと贖罪、減退する改良住宅群と拡張する古代の遺構など、生々しくかたちを変える対象と対象の間で壁当てを繰り返し、プロセスを再内臓化して育てる不自然」と話す「上映作品」を発表します。拒絶と受容の距離を超えて、立場を見失わせるような「映像を巡る時間」を展開します。

Experimental film culture in Japanは、映像作品を紹介するオルタナティブな上映団体です。

Take Ninagawa is pleased to announce that Scrapbook #62 (2002.11.2–2003.7.2, Uwajima) by Shinro Ohtake has been acquired by New York as part of its 2025 acquisitions.

Repost: New York’s Guggenheim Museum has revealed the 39 works that it acquired last year, among them paintings by some of today’s most celebrated artists.⁠

There were some historical works added to the collection last year, including pieces by Freddy Rodríguez and F***y Sanín, who were born in the Dominican Republic and Colombia, respectively. Both were included in the 2024 Venice Biennale, and both relocated to the US.⁠
But many of the works acquired are by emerging and mid-career artists whose international prominence is still growing. These artists include figures ranging from Rachel Rossin to Elle Pérez, from Claudia Alarcón to Yu Nishimura.⁠

In a statement, Guggenheim senior curator Naomi Beckwith said, “The Guggenheim’s slate of artworks acquired in 2025 is a testament to the ways in which the institution thoughtfully looks back at its roots and its commitment to experimental forms and transnational approaches, while remaining forward-thinking about broadening the narrative possibilities of our art holdings.”⁠

Repost: From January 17 to April 12, 2026, UCCA Beijing presents ”Rutherford Chang: Hundreds and Thousands,“ the first institutional and most comprehensive solo presentation of the late New York–based conceptual artist Rutherford Chang (1979–2025).

The exhibition will bring together Chang’s two most widely recognized long-term projects, We Buy White Albums and CENTS, alongside additional works that span over two decades of his practice, to trace his sustained engagement with collection and repetition to reflect on cultural memory and shifting perspectives of value.

Co-curated by UCCA Director and artist Aki Sasamoto, ”Hundreds and Thousands“ is presented in collaboration with the Estate of Rutherford Chang.

Featuring landmark projects “We Buy White Albums” and the never-before-exhibited “CENTS,” alongside related works, the exhibition reflects his thoughtful engagement with cultural memory, circulation, and the shifting nature of value embedded in everyday objects.

Opening Reception: February 14, 5–7pm

Take Ninagawa is pleased to present a new exhibition of historic works by , many of which will be shown in Japan for the first time.

The exhibition focuses on Miyamoto’s early practice, including string constructions that the artist installed at her studio at 597 Broadway and at the A.I.R. Gallery, the pioneering feminist cooperative where she was an early member alongside Adrian Piper, Ana Mendieta, and others. The string constructions will be shown alongside preparatory drawings and maquettes from the same period.

Join us for the exhibition opening on February 14.

1964年にニューヨークに拠点を移し、ソル・ルウィットのアシスタントとして、ニューヨークでミニマリズムの台頭に関わってきた #宮本和子 は、白人男性でない周縁化されたアーティストを紹介するA.I.R. Galleryの運営や、若いアーティストを紹介するgallery onetwentyeightの創設、運営を行うなど、コミュニティに深く寄与してきました。

本展では宮本の初期の活動に焦点を当て、A.I.R. Galleryで展示したString Construction（糸の構造体）や、当時のドローイング、マケット、記録資料など、日本で初公開となる作品を多数紹介いたします。
