The exhibition has been featured in the French online magazine The Eye of Photography and is garnering significant attention both domestically and internationally.

We are pleased to announce the solo exhibition “Mao Ishikawa: ROGUE” at Alison Bradley Projects in New York. The exhibition features representative works from the early stages of her career, including series such as Red Flower (Akabanaa), Life in Philly, and A Port Town Elegy.

Mao Ishikawa is also currently participating in the “Whitney Biennial 2026,” which is being held in New York at the same time. We hope you will have the opportunity to visit both exhibitions.

The traveling exhibition of the 36th Bienal de São Paulo is currently on view at the Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR), featuring works by Mao Ishikawa. After touring various locations across Brazil, the exhibition is scheduled to travel internationally to countries including Chile, Mexico, and Germany.

「photography」という語句が使用されるようになる前、W・H・フォックス・タルボットは、「写真」を意味するものとして、「Words of Light」すなわち「光の言葉」という表現を用いることがありました。
鈴木は事物に宿る記憶を可視化したいという思いから写真を用いた作品制作を始めました。小穴投影現象や光による投影、光の透過や屈折、反射など、写真の原理を通して「光の言葉」を顕在化する試みを続けています。
今回の展示は、「Words of Light」「Monologue of the Light」シリーズを中心に、新作を含む、カラー・モノクロ・平面・立体を織り交ぜた約18点の作品によって構成します。

石川真生が参加する展覧会「－モンスーンに吹かれたように－ 大移動と交流のアフリカ‐アジアの現代美術」が3月13日、岐阜県美術館で開幕しました。
石川真生の作品からは、「アカバナー」、そして「大琉球写真絵巻」の一部が展示されています。本日3月14日には、東京オペラシティアートギャラリー・チーフキュレーターの天野太郎氏による、石川真生についてのトークが行われました。
会期は6月14日まで。ぜひご来場ください。

The exhibition "Blows Like a Monsoon: Contemporary Afro-Asian Arts on the Great Journey and Exchange," featuring artist Mao Ishikawa, opened on March 13th at The Museum of Fine Arts, Gifu.

From Mao Ishikawa’s body of work, "Red Flower (Akabanaa)" and excerpts from "The Great Ryukyu Photo Scroll" are currently on display. Today, March 14th, a talk session regarding Mao Ishikawa was held by Taro Amano, Chief Curator of Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery.

石川真生が参加する「ホイットニー・ビエンナーレ2026」のレセプションが、現地時間3月3日に開催されました。

「アカバナー」と「Life in Philly」シリーズからそれぞれ5点、合計10点のプリントが、ホイットニー美術館6階に展示されています。

3月7日まではミュージアムメンバーのみ入場可能で、3月8日から一般公開となります。
会期は8月23日までです。
お近くにお越しの際は、ぜひご来場ください。

The reception for the Whitney Biennial 2026, in which Mao Ishikawa is participating, was held on March 3 (local time).

A total of ten prints—five from the “Akabanaa (Red Flower)” series and five from the “Life in Philly” series—are currently on view on the 6th floor of the Whitney Museum of American Art.

The exhibition is open to museum members only until March 7, and will open to the public on March 8.
The exhibition runs through August 23.
