緑豊かな目黒区民センターの一角に、目黒区美術館は1987年にオープンしました。多くの展覧会、多彩な情報のあふれる東京の中で、当館は地域に息づくもっとも身近な美術館、気軽に美術に親しめる憩いの場、さらには美術を媒介とした都市生活者の自己再発見の場として機能しています。この美術館は大都市の中に挿入されたささやかな空間に過ぎませんが、それは、想像力や感受性の無限の宇宙に向けて開かれた窓でもあると信じます。

目黒区美術館では、近現代のわが国の作家による美術作品を収集し、これらを所蔵作品展で公開するほか、内外の多様な美術の動向をとらえた企画展を積極的に開催します。また、生活の中の美や、作品のなりたちと素材・技法に目をむけるワークショップ活動は、展示と体験活動を融合させる新たな試みとして当館の大きな特色となっています。そして、身近に利用できる貸出会場として区民ギャラリーを設け、広く皆様にご利用いただいています。

目黒区美術館はこうした活動を通じ、地域の皆様をはじめ多くの方々に、常に新鮮な魅力にあふれた美術館として親しまれることをめざしています。

「版画でいえあつめ」

2026年夏に開催の展覧会「高浜利也 目黒でいえあつめ」に関連し、「いえ」をテーマに、2つのワークショップを開催します。
「銅版画でいえあつめは」は、本格的に銅版画制作に取り組む大人向けのプログラムです。
「ぺりぺり版画でいえあつめ」は、子どもから大人まで楽しめます。
また、オンラインで美術館は、人気のナビゲーター、メグロアソビ冒険隊が展覧会場の様子をお届けします。展覧会出品作家・高浜利也さんも登場します。

本展では、展覧会前に目黒区立下目黒小学校で高浜利也が授業を行い、その際に児童が制作した積み木や版画を、高浜利也の初期から最新作までの銅版画作品とともに展示します。
