SOME Seiryukan was established in Kyoto in 2006 with the mission of sharing Japanese textile dyeing art with the world.
The museum houses and presents works by a diverse range of artists, from distinguished masters based in Kyoto to emerging talents.
As the world’s first museum dedicated exclusively to textile dyeing art, SOME Seiryukan offers visitors the opportunity to encounter remarkable works and discover the beauty, depth, and expressive richness of this distinctive art form.
