本日より開催｜山元ゆり子「光継ぎ」
Gallery G-77では、本日より山元ゆり子による個展 「光継ぎ（Hikari-tsugi / Light Mending）」 を開催いたします。
日本古来の修復技法「金継ぎ」に着想を得た本展では、光を通してトラウマや喪失、そして精神的な再生を探求します。鳥や人体の断片、化石、自然物などに光を宿す立体作品を通して、失われたものを結び直す可能性を問いかけます。
✨ 会期中、作家は毎週土曜・日曜（12:00〜18:00）に在廊いたします。

Opening Today | Hikari-tsugi (Light Mending) by Yuriko Yamamoto
Gallery G-77 is pleased to present Hikari-tsugi (Light Mending), a new solo exhibition by Yuriko Yamamoto.
Inspired by the Japanese tradition of kintsugi, the exhibition explores trauma, loss, and spiritual regeneration through light. Birds, fragments of the human body, fossils, and natural forms are transformed into luminous sculptural objects, inviting viewers to reflect on healing, resilience, and the possibility of reconnecting what has been lost.
✨ Yuriko Yamamoto will be at the gallery every Saturday and Sunday throughout the exhibition (12:00–18:00).

《光継ぎ》は、破壊とは存在の終わりではなく、新たな姿へと変容する過程であるという可能性を探る作品です。山元ゆり子の作品では、失われた部分に光が集まり、粒子が再結合するかのように、失われたものが再び結び直されます。身体の断片や自然のかたち、そして記憶は、光によって新たなつながりを得ることで、その存在の本質をあらためて浮かび上がらせます。金継ぎを物質的な修復ではなく、光による精神的な再生として捉え直すことで、本展は、物理的には失われたものも、私たちの内にある光によって再び結び直すことができるのではないかという問いを投げかけます。

Hikari-tsugi explores the idea that destruction is not the end of existence, but one of its transformations. In Yamamoto’s works, light gathers where matter has disappeared, reconnecting what seems irretrievably lost. Fragments of the body, natural forms, and memories are brought together through light, suggesting that absence can become the beginning of a different kind of presence. By reimagining kintsugi as an immaterial act of repair, the exhibition proposes light as a means of reconnecting what cannot be restored physically. Yuriko Yamamoto
