ステートメント:
私は、個々のイメージそのものよりも、イメージ同士の関係がどのように形成されるのかに関心を持っている。
写真を一つの完結した成果として見るのではなく、それぞれが独立して存在しながらも、同時に他の作品と結びつき、新たな意味を生み出す媒介だと考えているからだ。
鑑賞者は作品の中で作家が提示した意見を見ることもできるが、それよりも、一見関係のないように見えるイメージや情報の間に、自らつながりを作ることができればと思っている。
その過程で記憶が活性化され、意味が生まれると考えている。
本展は、関係、記録、反復とシグナルという三つの軸を中心に構成されている。
イメージはいかにして記憶となり、記憶はいかにして記録となり、そして記録は再びどのような関係を生み出すのだろうか。

Statement:
I am more interested in how relationships between images are formed than in the individual images themselves.
⁡
Rather than viewing a photograph as a complete and self-contained work, I see each image as existing independently while also serving as a medium that connects with other works to generate new meanings.
⁡
While viewers may recognize the ideas presented by the artist, I hope they will go beyond that by creating their own connections between images and pieces of information that may initially appear unrelated.
⁡
I believe that through this process, memories are activated and new meanings emerge.
⁡
This exhibition is structured around three central themes: relationships, records, and repetition and signals.
⁡
How do images become memories? How do memories become records? And how do those records, in turn, create new relationships?

展覧会概要
『Decoding』は、「現実の情報化」を逆方向から辿る試みである。
私たちは日常の中で、光景、身体、感情、記憶といった曖昧な実在を、絶えずデータや記録へと変換し続けている。しかし、圧縮・変換された情報は、本当に元の現実へ戻ることができるのだろうか。
本展では、光、液体、透明素材、記録媒体などを用いながら、情報から再び「身体」や「存在感」を読み出そうとする装置群を展開する。
ここで行われる“デコード”とは、単純な復元ではない。読み出されるものは、元の現実そのものではなく、欠損、誤読、解釈、人間の想像力を介して再構成された、半ば虚構としての現実である。
『Decoding』は、情報化された世界において、私たちが何を見ているのか、そして「身体」や「存在」がどのように読み解かれているのかを問い直す展示である。

略歴
1994年大阪生まれ。映像、3DCG、インスタレーションなどを通して、デジタル技術と人間の知覚・記憶をテーマに制作を行う。

詩と、Bookと、コーヒーと

2022年に参加した、群馬県前橋市にでのアーティスト・イン・レジデンス。
私は機会があれば、その時のことを見直してみたいと思っていました。

というのも、その経験は私にとって、非常に心地いいものだったからです。

前橋文学館の萩原朔太郎で思い出した、子供の頃に古本屋で買った彼の詩集。
その思い出しからの派生を元に、前橋までの旅自体をテーマにした作品制作をしました。

道中、今では何処にでもある古本チェーンで本を買い。
現地では、事ある毎に皆で喫茶店でコーヒーを飲み。
そしてその旅の内容を、詩（ウタ）に詠んだ。

今回はその空気感を、この場所に持ってきたいと思います。

Poetry, Books, and Coffee

In 2022, I participated in an artist-in-residence program in Maebashi City,
Gunma Prefecture.
Since then, I have often felt that I wanted to revisit and reconsider that experience.
Because it left a very pleasant impression on me.

At the time, I was reminded of Sakutaro Hagiwara at the Maebashi Literature Museum,
which led me to memories of the poetry collection of his that I bought at a secondhand bookstore when I was a child.
From those recollections and their further associations, I created works centered around the journey itself to Maebashi.

Along the way, I bought books from a second-hand bookstore chain that can now be found almost anywhere.
While we were there, we would gather in cafés and share coffee whenever the opportunity arose.
I then transformed the experiences of that journey into poetry.

In this exhibition, I want to bring that atmosphere to this place.

1979年に大阪生まれ。

2004年 京都造形芸術大学（現 京都芸術大学） 情報デザイン学科卒業。
サイトスペシフィックな作品を主に、2000年より国内外での作品発表。

2004年よりgalerie weissraum kyoto,japan、2013年よりArt Spot Korinに所属。

又2011年にはLOCALSHIPというアートプロジェクトチームを立ち上げ、国内外で芸術活動やサポートを行なう。
