We mount many paintings and calligraphic works in kakejiku in our factory. Kakejiku are our main product. We also remount and repair old or damaged kakejiku. We share the traditional Japanese art of kakejiku with people all over the world.

We recently received a special custom order for *Tanzaku-gake* (hanging scrolls for Tanzaku) from a long-time client in the US, a respected dealer specializing in Japanese art. ✨

These unique hanging scrolls are specially designed so that *Tanzaku* (long, narrow strips of paper used for calligraphy or poetry) can be beautifully displayed and easily interchanged. For this project, we crafted them using gorgeous *Kinran* (gold brocade) fabrics, creating an elegant and striking backdrop that will enhance any piece it holds.

It is always a profound honor to see traditional Japanese craftsmanship and aesthetics appreciated across the ocean. We are truly grateful for our continued partnership! 🇺🇸🇯🇵

We had a wonderful customer from Spain (originally from Germany) visit our store in Kobe during her second trip to Japan! 🇯🇵✨
She was looking for two *kakejiku* (hanging scrolls). For the calligraphy, she needed a shorter length to display alongside other pieces, and ultimately chose a beautiful "Dream" (夢) scroll after carefully comparing the brushstrokes and mounting colors. For the floral scroll, she wanted a simple design that beautifully utilizes negative space. She fell in love with a delicate red and white plum blossom piece featuring an adorable bush warbler (*uguisu*)! 🌸🐦
She kindly apologized for viewing so many options, but we assured her that helping customers find their perfect match from our extensive collection is exactly what we do best. Thank you so much for your deep appreciation of Japanese culture!

A special order from a wonderful customer in Spain! 🇪🇸✨

This kakejiku features the phrase "Setsugekka" (Snow, Moon, Flowers).

"Setsu" (snow) represents winter, "Getsu" (moon) represents autumn, and "Ka" (flowers, typically cherry blossoms) represents spring. Together, they symbolize the most beautiful aspects of nature across the four seasons. It is a traditional Japanese expression used to appreciate the profound beauty and serene elegance of the changing seasons. 🌸🌙❄️

I am so thrilled that she loved the beautiful shapes of the characters themselves, not just the deep meaning behind the words!

スペインの女性のお客様からご注文いただいた掛軸です。🇪🇸✨
書かれている言葉は『雪月花』。
雪は冬、月は秋、花は桜を表し、「四季折々の自然の中でもっとも美しいもの」という意味を持っています。

日本らしい四季の美や静かな風雅を愛でる言葉として古くから親しまれてきました。🌸🌙❄️

言葉に込められた深い意味だけでなく、文字自体のフォルムも気に入っていただけたようで大変嬉しく思います😊

These are called "Tanzaku-kake" (Tanzaku hanging scrolls).

They are specially designed so you can easily swap out and display different tanzaku (long, narrow strips of paper board) featuring paintings or calligraphy, matching them to your mood or the season.

While beautiful on their own, they are also the perfect backdrop to display behind a bonsai tree to create a stunning, immersive atmosphere. 🌿
