小澤雅志の描く情景は、現実と虚構が戯れる優雅で官能的なシーンで構成され、様々な人間関係の裏側や小さな違和感を浮かび上がらせます。悩ましげに横たわる女性と傍に置かれた男性の脚。虚ろげな視線でこちらを見据える女性像。それらは一見魅力的に映る反面、どこかやるせない感情を観る者に抱かせます。まるで映画を鑑賞した後、どうしても頭から離れないシーンを振り返って何度も自問自答してしまうような感覚と似ています。それは画面から滲み出る理想と現実との揺らぎ、あるいは不条理を鑑賞者が視覚的に読み取り、自身の立場と置き換えて内省するからです。
女性や植物、ミュージシャンなど、普遍的な理想美の象徴とされるモチーフが、小澤の手によって画面内で複雑に構成され、対象物の内面に見え隠れする傷付きやすさ、危うさ、不安定さといった、もう一つの側面を多層的に表出します。強さと弱さという多面性を備えた私たちの心の葛藤や声なき叫びを、絵画を通して気づかせてくれる、小澤の鋭い着眼点と柔軟な感性を、本展を通して多くの方に感じ取っていただけたら幸いです。

Masashi Ozawa’s scenes are composed of elegant, sensual moments where reality and fiction interplay, bringing to light the hidden undercurrents of various human relationships and subtle discomforts. A woman reclining in a pensive pose, with a man’s legs placed beside her. A female figure gazing at the viewer with a vacant stare. Whilst these images appear captivating at first glance, they also evoke a sense of unease in the viewer. It is akin to the sensation one experiences after watching a film, when a particular scene refuses to leave one’s mind, prompting repeated self-reflection. This occurs because the viewer visually interprets the oscillation between ideal and reality―or perhaps the absurdity―seeping from the canvas and uses it to reflect on their own position.

Motifs considered symbols of universal ideal beauty―such as women, plants and musicians―are intricately composed within the canvas by Ozawa, revealing in a multi-layered manner another aspect of the subjects: the vulnerability, precariousness and instability that lie hidden within.

We hope that through this exhibition, many visitors will be able to appreciate Ozawa’s keen insight and flexible sensibility, which, through his paintings, draw our attention to the inner conflicts and silent cries of our own hearts, with their multifaceted nature of strength and weakness.

5/10日、ボブ・モレマの個展最終日です。今日もエアロプランツによる観葉植物のポップアップイベントを開催しております。

今回のイベントを通して、アート好きな常連さんや新規の方々、みなさん植物が大好きだって事がわかりました！どの方も真剣にアートと植物に向き合い、それぞれの好みで選んでいく光景に毎日心を打たれています。
アーティストである私達も、普段制作する中で植物が色々なアイデアをもたらしてくれます。森の中、公園の花壇、道端で健気に生き抜く雑草、ホームセンターで群生する花々など、日々の色んなシーンで目にする植物が、大きなインスピレーションを与えてくれるのです。
そんな思いを実現したくて企画した今回のポップアップイベント。ボブのユニークなアートと個性的な植物との調和をぜひ会場で楽しんでいただけたら嬉しいです！

焼き上がった植木鉢に、早速自宅のハイブリッドアロエやネオレゲリア等を生けてみました🪴カラフルなアートと独特の雰囲気を持つビザープランツの相性は抜群！ぜひ会場にてお楽しみください🐬

From May 8 - 10, we will host a three-day pop-up event by “Aero plants,” a shop specialising in foliage plants with a focus on aloes and bizarre plants.
The event will feature a curated selection of popular plants, including hybrid aloes as well as tank bromeliads such as Billbergia and Neoregelia.
Alongside these plants, we will present hand-painted plant pots by Dutch artist Bob Mollema, who is currently holding a solo exhibition. The gallery space will showcase a beautiful harmony between art and plants.
We will also have some plant pots by Rob Kidney available as well ♪

WISH LESS gallery is excited to announce Dutch artist Bob Mollema’s first solo exhibition in Japan “The Unspoiled Within”. Bob Mollema , who depicts mystical and energetic motifs, has held solo exhibitions across Europe. Recently, his artwork was featured in the collection (2021–2025) of the popular surf brand Volcom, making him an artist who has garnered significant attention not only in the art world but also in the fashion industry, transcending the boundaries of art.
Mollema weaves together motifs from familiar creatures and plants with legends and folk tales passed down since ancient times, creating a contemporary mythological world. The bold, uneven strokes and unevenness of his coloured pencil work, which seem to breathe life into his vibrant subjects, stimulate the wild senses that remain within us, evoking the innate simplicity and purity of our hearts. Mollema’s works, capturing the radiance of life and the beauty of nature, pursue a candid and pure form, becoming warm, embracing presences that stand alongside people.
For this exhibition, Bob Mollema will visit Tokyo, presenting numerous new works titled “The Unspoiled Within” for the first time in Japan.
