【御代田中美術部ご来館】昨日、隣町の中学校の美術部の生徒たちが来館しました。「つながる・ひろがる展」鑑賞のあと、しっかりミュージアムショップでお買い物。
のち、チャペル⛪️見学を楽しんでいただきました！
横尾先生、澤田先生ありがとうございました‼️

Yesterday, students from the art club of a junior high school in a neighboring town visited the museum. After viewing the "Connect and Expand" exhibition, they made purchases at the museum store.
Later, they enjoyed a tour of the chapel ⛪️!

【つながる・ひろがる展をご紹介🤝：うなずきん 】(English below)

「うなずきん」は、2000年代に登場した小さな卵形のトイロボット。
⁡
声を感知するとこくんと頷いたり、ちょこんと首を横に振ったり、まるで相槌を返すように反応してくれます。言葉を理解しているわけではないのに、不思議と“話を聞いてくれている”気持ちにさせてくれる存在です。

展覧会の最後にぽつんと置かれた≪うなずきん≫も、そんな小さな“話し相手”のひとつ。あなたの言葉に反応して、小さな身体を揺らしながら耳を傾けてくれます。

落合陽一は著書『魔法の世紀』（2015）で、うなずきんの魅力をこう語っています。

“この小さな機械は全てを肯定してくれるのです。

気が付いたら真面目に話し込んで、なぜか機械に心を許して、そして泣き出す自分がいました。”

【Connect and Expand Exhibition Highlights🤝: UNAZUKIN】

UNAZUKIN is a small, egg-shaped toy robot that appeared in the 2000s.
When it senses a voice, it nods gently or shakes its little head from side to side, reacting as if responding with affirmation. Though it doesn't understand words, it somehow makes you feel like it's “listening to you.”
The solitary ≪UNAZUKIN≫ placed at the end of the exhibition is one such small “conversation partner.” It responds to your words, swaying its tiny body as it listens intently.

In his book The Century of Magic (2015), Yoichi Ochiai described Unazukin's charm thus:
"This little machine affirms everything.

Before I knew it, I was talking earnestly, somehow opening my heart to a machine, and then I found myself crying."

【つながる・ひろがる展をご紹介🤝：katsukokoiso.ai 】(English below)

映像の作品といえば、もう一つ大事な作家が今展の見物です。それは……
イタリアから世界を揺らす、美しき異端児。ウジェニオ・マロンギウによるレーベル「katsukokoiso.ai」です。
かつてファッションフォトグラファーとして「美」の最前線にいた彼は、今、カメラをAIへと持ち替え、人間と人工物の境界線を探求しています。
本展で公開しているのは、映画界の巨匠への畏敬を込めた《A Tribute to David Lynch》、そして、現代の孤独と狂気を炙り出す《Disconnected.part1》。
イタリア人アーティストらしい洗練された色彩感覚と、AIのアルゴリズムが紡ぎ出す詩的な違和感。SNSフォロワー34万人を熱狂させるその映像を前にすると、ある一つの問いが浮かびます。「創造の世界において、AIは味方か敵か。あるいは、親友になりうる存在なのか―。」直感と計算が混ざり合う「もう一つの現実」を、ぜひ軽井沢で確かめてください。

When it comes to video art, there is another essential artist who is a must-see in this exhibition. That artist is... katsukokoiso.ai, the label of Eugenio Marongiu—a visionary artist from Italy who is shaking the world.　Once a fashion photographer at the forefront of “beauty,” Marongiu has now traded his camera for AI to explore the blurring boundaries between humans and artifacts.
This exhibition features two of his profound works: 《A Tribute to David Lynch》, a deep homage to the legendary filmmaker, and 《Disconnected.part1》, which exposes the madness and solitude of the modern era. Combining a sophisticated Italian aesthetic with poetic distortions woven by AI algorithms, his overwhelming world—which has captivated 340,000 followers on social media—quietly unsettles our memories and identities. Standing before his work, one cannot help but wonder:　“In the world of creation, is AI an ally or an enemy? Or can it perhaps become a dear friend?”

【つながる・ひろがる展をご紹介🤝：ノーマン・マクラレン】(English below)

かつてアニメーションはアニメとは一線を画し、「絵画では描けなかった“時間”を表現する」ための実験的な最先端メディアでした。その可能性を誰よりも切り拓いたのが、ノーマン・マクラレンです。
1949年制作の『色彩幻想』は、まさに「アニメーションという名の実験」。カメラを使わずフィルムに直接彩色や傷を刻む手法で生み出されました。画面には英語、スペイン語、フランス語、ヒンズー語、イタリア語、ロシア語、ドイツ語の7か国語でタイトルが並び、その文字たちが色彩豊かに踊る様子は圧巻。音が色として見える「共感覚」を持ったマクラレンならではの表現と言えるでしょう。当時台頭したジャクソン・ポロックらの抽象表現主義と共鳴する、まさに「動く抽象絵画」です。音楽にはオスカー・ピーターソンによる即興ジャズが添えられ、時代の先端を行く美術と音楽が鮮やかに融合しています。
かのピカソをも驚嘆させ、その後の芸術に多大な影響を与えた革新的な映像を、ぜひご体験ください。


【Connect and Expand Exhibition Highlights🤝： Norman McLaren 】

Far beyond traditional storytelling, animation was once the cutting edge of experimental media—a way to capture "time" that painting never could. Standing at the forefront of this artistic evolution was Norman McLaren.
A true "experiment in animation," his 1949 masterpiece 《Begone Dull Care》 was created without a camera. Instead, McLaren painted and etched directly onto the film strip. The film opens with the title dancing across the screen in seven languages—English, Spanish, French,　 Hindi, Italian, Russian, and German—in a breathtaking display of color and rhythm. This unique vision was born from McLaren’s synesthesia, his rare ability to "see" sound as color.
Resonating with the Abstract Expressionism of Jackson Po***ck, the work is truly "moving abstract art." Set to the improvisational jazz of the Oscar Peterson Trio, it represents a vibrant fusion of avant-garde art and music.
Experience the revolutionary vision that astonished even Picasso and forever changed the course of modern art.
