Galeria Punto 現代アートギャラリー Galeria Punto（ガレリア プント）です。

Galeria Puntoは点としてのｷﾞｬﾗﾘｰ活動から線・面にいたる活動を模索し、時代の先端を走っていたい、そんな気持ちで芸術全般にわたる企画展を行ってきました。
同時代の作家がつくりだす優れた作品は、生活空間 のなかで時代のメッセージとして人々にくり返し語りかけ、意味を問い、 私たちを豊かにするのです。
作家は各プロジェクトにおいて、環境や社会的要因を念頭にそれぞれの思想やテーマを形にしていきます。かれらの作品発表の場をギャラリー空間に留めることなく、都市空間やさまざまな空間での演出や作品制作支援も行っています。
芸術が経済基盤の大きな柱として再構築されつつある現在、Galeria Puntoも新たな価値観の創造に寄与していきます。

Preparing for the exhibition

明日からは、Puntoでは久しぶりとなる陶の展覧会「flowers and animals 2」が始まります。
陶芸家の近藤佳寿子さんとは実は古いお付き合い。定番のカップから初お目見えの新作まで、焼きあがったばかりの作品の数々を展示いたします。
初日4日は14時オープン、作家も在廊いたしますので是非ご覧ください。

Starting tomorrow, Punto will be hosting ‘flowers and animals 2’, our first ceramics exhibition in quite some time.
We’ve actually known the ceramicist, Kazuko Kondo, for many years. We’ll be exhibiting a range of freshly fired pieces, from her signature cups to brand-new works making their debut.
We open at 2 pm on the opening day, the 4th, and the artist will be in attendance, so please do come along.

鄭 継深の「GLASS WORKS」最終日。時間と共に変容する思考と表現を抱え、2年ぶりとなるPuntoでの個展を企画できたことを本当に嬉しく思っています。お越しくださった皆さま、そして鄭さん、誠にありがとうございました。次回の展示に向けて新たな提案を思い巡らせています。
「かつては単一の「根」を持たないことが不安の源でした。しかし今、それはあらゆる境界を飛び越えることができる遊牧民（ノマド）のような自由へと進化しました。私の作品は、その自由の肖像です。特定のアイデンティティという重力に縛られず、風のように軽やかに、光を編み上げる構造体でありたいと願っています。」鄭 継深

The final day ofKeishin Tei’s ‘GLASS WORKS’. I am truly delighted to have been able to organise this solo exhibition at Punto—my first in two years—while embracing thoughts and expressions that evolve with the passage of time. My sincere thanks to everyone who attended, and to Mr TeiI am already pondering new ideas for the next exhibition.

Keishin Tei’s ‘GLASS WORKS’ exhibition is finally drawing to a close. The artist will be in attendance from opening time today.
We are exhibiting a wide range of tableware, including sake cups and glasses. These colourful pieces are sure to enhance your dining experience. Why not treat yourself to some vibrant tableware as we head into early summer?
The artist will also be present on the final day, 31 May. Please note that the exhibition will close at 16:00 on the final day.

目の前にすると、両面各々の質感の違いも感じられる今展の大作「境界」。
作家自身が手掛けるフュージングの技法、そして鄭 継深の作品は中学校美術の教科書にも掲載されています。会場でご覧いただけますので、どうぞご覧ください。
明日からの30日（土）、31日（日）は11時オープン、両日作家が在廊いたします。是非ご覧ください。

Standing before it, one can appreciate the difference in texture between the two sides of ‘A Border’, the major work featured in this exhibition.
The artist’s own fusing technique, as well as Keishin Tei’s works, are featured in secondary school art textbooks. You can view them at the venue, so please do take a look.
From tomorrow, Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st, the gallery will open at 11am, and the artist will be in attendance on both days. We hope you will come and see the exhibition.

The ‘Iroori’ series, with its beautiful, bold curves, is available in a wide range of colours. Tei’s glass, created using the kiln-forming technique, is characterised by forms that capture the very process of the material being heated. These forms, which are not merely utilitarian, possess a sculptural beauty that seems to draw the viewer into a profound world of light and shadow.

近年、制作の幅が広がってきた花器たち。自然光の窓際や陽が沈んだ後の照明などで印象も変化する色とりどりの花器は、それだけで存在感があります。野花も引き立つ花器は暮らしの豊かさを上げてくれる作品でもあります。
月火水は休廊となります。

In recent years, the scope of Tei’s floral vases has expanded. These colourful vases, whose appearance shifts with the natural light by the window or the artificial lighting after sunset, have a presence all of their own. Vases that bring out the best in wildflowers are also pieces that enrich our daily lives.
The gallery is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

光のタペストリー
A Tapestry of Light

鄭 継深の「境界」シリーズのひとつ、今展では枠や土台を省きガラスそのものを壁面に設置しています。ガラスの繊細さはそのままに表現の一部である作品の隙間に掛けることで、作品が自然と傾き壁面と一体化したような趣になります。
作家曰く「無機質なコンクリートから自然に生えてきた色彩豊かな光のタペストリーのように見えることを目指した作品」は、壁面によって見え方が変化する建物の光と影を考察した作品。もちろんコンクリート以外の白い壁にも鮮やかに映えてくれます。ガラスという素材を生かした軽やかさも備わった逸品。

Part of Keishin Tei’s ‘Boundary’ series, this piece is presented in the exhibition with the frame and base removed, allowing the glass itself to be mounted directly onto the wall. By hooking the piece into the gaps in the structure—which are an integral part of the design—whilst preserving the delicacy of the glass, the piece tilts naturally, creating an effect as though it has become one with the wall.
According to the artist, this work—‘intended to resemble a colourful tapestry of light sprouting naturally from stark concrete’—explores the interplay of light and shadow on a building, with its appearance shifting depending on the wall surface. Naturally, it also stands out vividly against white walls other than concrete. It is a masterpiece that possesses a lightness derived from the use of glass as a material.
