1960年、秋田県生まれ。画家、イラストレーター。1983年、東京造形大学絵画科卒業。国際浮世絵学会会員。

1990年代初頭より、浮世絵の構図や装飾性を現代的感覚と融合させた〈浮世絵ポップ〉を試み、その後、自ら〈平成耽美主義（Heisei Estheticism）〉と称する独自の様式を確立。日本美術の装飾性と西洋ゴシックの幻想性・耽美性を交差させながら、美、死生観、官能、幻想、物語性が共存する独自の作品世界を築いている。妖艶さと緻密さを併せ持つ画面構成、精密な描写、象徴性に富んだ視覚言語により、日本現代幻想絵画を象徴する作家の一人として高い評価を得ている。

耽美小説、幻想小説、時代小説など数多くの装丁画・挿絵を手がけるほか、国内外で多数の個展、グループ展、アートフェアに参加。東京、ローマをはじめ各地で作品を発表し、ART FAIR TOKYO、ART TAIPEI、ART HK、ART STAGE SINGAPORE、VOLTA NYなど国際的なアートフェアにも継続的に参加している。日本の伝統美と現代的幻想表現を横断する独自の美学により、国際的なアートシーンでも広く知られている。

Born in Akita, Japan, in 1960. Painter and illustrator. Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 1983 and is a member of the International Ukiyo-e Society.

Since the early 1990s, Yamamoto has developed a unique style that merges ukiyo-e aesthetics with contemporary sensibilities. Through his concept of “Heisei Estheticism,” he creates richly decorative and symbolic worlds where beauty, fantasy, sensuality, and mortality coexist.

In addition to producing illustrations and book covers, he has participated in numerous exhibitions and international art fairs including ART FAIR TOKYO, ART TAIPEI, ART HK, ART STAGE SINGAPORE, and VOLTA NY. His work is widely recognized for its distinctive fusion of Japanese tradition and contemporary fantasy.

四川美術学院工芸学部陶磁専攻卒業。現在は北京を拠点に活動。

中国の幻想的ビジュアル表現を代表するイラストレーター、アーティストの一人として知られ、東洋的神秘主義を背景に、神話、生命、変容、再生といった主題を描き続けている。幻想性と装飾性を併せ持つ独自のビジュアル表現により、現代中国イラストレーションにおいて強い存在感を確立している。

作品集『幻戏』『白蛇传』『水仙』『妖绘卷』を刊行。映画『妖猫伝』『大魚海棠』『捉妖記2』などのビジュアル・ポスター制作にも携わり、出版、映画、ビジュアルアートを横断して活動している。

作品には、人間、神性、動物性を併せ持つ象徴的な存在がしばしば描かれ、種や存在の境界を超えるイメージが展開される。幻想的な図像を通じて、個人、種、あらゆる生命を結びつける原初的で親密なつながりを呼び起こし、東洋的想像力と現代性が交差する独自の世界観を築いている。

Graduated from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and currently based in Beijing.

Known for a fantastical visual language rooted in Eastern mysticism, Guo Zikai explores mythology, life, transformation, and rebirth. Combining fantasy and ornamentation, the artist has become a distinctive voice in contemporary Chinese illustration.

Publications include Phantom Play, Legend of the White Snake, Narcissus, and Scroll of Yokai Paintings. Guo has also contributed to films including Legend of the Demon Cat, Big Fish & Begonia, and Monster Hunt 2.

The artist’s works depict symbolic beings that blur the boundaries between humanity, divinity, animality, and species, creating a unique world where Eastern imagination meets contemporary sensibilities.

With a background in psychology and criminal psychology, her work focuses on the complexity of human emotions and inner structures.  Centered around themes such as the body, memory, anxiety, and desire, she creates symbolic and dreamlike works where stillness and tension coexist. Through delicate imagery and introspective atmospheres, she visualizes emotional fragility and invisible psychological territories.  She works across painting, illustration, and workshops, exhibiting throughout Europe and Asia. Artist and illustrator based in Larissa, Greece. She studied art history at the Open University London and has developed a distinctive practice informed by contemporary art and visual culture.  Exploring dreams, anxiety, physicality, and inner emotions, she creates works where fantasy and dark romanticism intersect. Through delicate ornamental imagery and symbolic motifs, she visualizes emotional instability, intimacy, loneliness, fragility, and desire within quiet yet tense compositions.  Working across painting, illustration, publishing, and fashion, she has exhibited throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States. 1982年、イタリア・トルトーナ生まれ。現在ミラノを拠点に活動。 アメリカやヨーロッパを中心に多数の展覧会を開催し、国際的に高い評価を得ている。  イタリアの伝承や民間信仰を背景に、神話的・象徴的な世界を描き出す作家。とりわけサルディーニャに伝わる「ジャナ」や「コーガス」といった女性的存在を主題に、誘惑、治癒、呪いといった両義的な力を持つ神秘的なイメージを展開している。  作品には、薬草、昆虫、鳥類、幻想的な動物など自然界のモチーフが精緻に描き込まれ、植物と女性、記憶と幻視、内面的感覚と自然との結びつきを象徴的に表現している。円環的な構成や、視線を閉ざした人物像によって、肖像画と静物画の境界を横断する独自の画面を生み出している。  色鉛筆による緻密な描写と、幾層にも重なる明暗が生み出す深い奥行きと静謐な緊張感を特徴とし、幻想性と装飾性を併せ持つ独自の作品世界を確立している。  Born in 1982 in Tortona, Italy, currently based in Milan. He has held numerous exhibitions throughout Europe and the United States and is internationally recognized for his work.  Drawing inspiration from Italian folklore and mythology, he creates symbolic worlds centered around mystical feminine figures such as the Janas and Cogas of Sardinian tradition, beings associated with temptation, healing, and curses.  His compositions intricately depict herbs, insects, birds, and fantastical animals, symbolically connecting plants, women, memory, visions, and inner perception. Circular compositions and closed-eyed figures blur the boundary between portraiture and still life.  Known for his highly detailed colored-pencil technique, his works combine decorative beauty, fantasy, and deep atmospheric tension.

1998年生まれ。中国・広州を拠点に活動するイラストレーター。Kingston University卒業。  柔らかく抑制された色彩と、緻密に均衡の取れた対称的な構成を特徴とし、秩序や静けさを湛えながらも、その内側に感情の緊張や微細な揺らぎを内包した画面を生み出している。制御された視覚言語を通じて、静謐さと心理的な奥行きが共存する独自の表現を展開している。  現代社会の中に生きる個人の移ろう感情や、人と人とのあいだに生まれる複雑で繊細な関係性に着目し、物語性を備えたイメージを通して日常の相互作用や感情の経験を描き出す。穏やかで整然とした画面の奥に、感情、関係性、そして社会的つながりのあり方への探求が息づいている。  Born in 1998. Illustrator based in Guangzhou, China. Graduate of Kingston University.  Characterized by soft restrained colors and carefully balanced symmetrical compositions, the artist creates quiet and ordered visual spaces that nevertheless contain subtle emotional tension and psychological depth.  Focusing on the shifting emotions of individuals living within contemporary society and the fragile relationships formed between people, the works depict emotional experiences and everyday interactions through narrative imagery. 京都在住。独学で絵画制作を始める。 ペンやアクリル絵具を用いた作品を制作し、国内外で展示活動を行うほか、マンガや絵本の制作にも取り組んでいる。  きぐるみをまとい、不思議な世界に生きる人々をモチーフに、幻想性と物語性を備えた独自の作品世界を展開。幼少期から抱き続けてきた空想やファンタジーへの憧憬をもとに、夢と現実のあわいを思わせる世界を描いている。  Based in Kyoto. Self-taught painter and illustrator.  Working primarily with pen and acrylic paint, she creates artworks exhibited both in Japan and internationally, while also producing manga and picture books.  Her works portray mysterious worlds inhabited by people wearing costumes and animal suits, combining fantasy and narrative imagination. Inspired by the dreams and fascination with fantasy she has carried since childhood, she creates scenes that seem to exist between reality and imagination.

フランス出身のアーティスト、イラストレーター。10年以上にわたり制作活動を続け、ヨーロッパ各地での生活経験を通じて、多様な文化や風景から着想を得ながら独自の視覚表現を育んできた。  フランス東部の自然豊かな田園地帯で育ち、その経験を背景に、自然は制作の中心的な主題となっている。動物、植物、風景、そして季節の移ろいの中で感じる空気や音、質感を繊細に捉え、静けさと詩情を湛えた世界を描き出す。  水彩、ガッシュ、アクリルを主な技法としながら、色鉛筆、オイルパステル、切り絵、陶芸など多様な表現方法を取り入れ、色彩や質感への探求を深めている。細密なディテールや小さな要素を重ねた作品は、森を散策するように、時間をかけて眺めることで少しずつ発見が生まれる構成を特徴としている。  森や庭園を主なモチーフに、動物、植物、緑に包まれた存在たちを描きながら、現実と想像が交錯する静謐で幻想的な空間を展開。淡い霧のようなシルエットや装飾的な人物像を通して、記憶や静かな空想を呼び起こし、観る者を深い観想へと誘う作品世界を築いている。  French artist and illustrator who has been active for more than ten years. Through living across various parts of Europe, she has cultivated a unique visual language inspired by diverse cultures and landscapes.  Raised in the countryside of eastern France, nature remains central to her artistic practice. Through delicate depictions of animals, plants, landscapes, and seasonal atmospheres, she creates poetic worlds filled with stillness and sensitivity.  Working mainly with watercolor, gouache, and acrylic, while also incorporating colored pencil, oil pastel, collage, and ceramics, she explores color and texture through layered details and subtle compositions. Her works invite slow contemplation, like wandering through a forest.  Using forests and gardens as recurring motifs, she portrays animals, plants, and figures surrounded by greenery within serene and dreamlike spaces where reality and imagination intersect.

フランスを拠点に活動するアーティスト、イラストレーター。フランスとアメリカの両国で幼少期を過ごし、異なる文化が交差する環境の中で独自の芸術表現を育んできた。  自然への深い愛情と民話への関心を着想源に、植物、動物、人体、神話的存在が織りなす幻想的な世界を描き出す。鮮やかな水彩を用いたシュルレアリスティックな構成と有機的なフォルムを特徴とし、神秘性と軽やかさ、普遍的な物語性と個人的な想像力が交差する独自のビジュアル表現を展開している。直感的な創作プロセスから生まれるイメージは、夢や幻視のような浮遊感を帯びながら、詩的で豊かな生命感を宿している。  作品はアメリカやヨーロッパをはじめ世界各地で展示されているほか、ファインアート、イラストレーション、テキスタイルやファッションの領域を横断して活動。 Alemais や Printemps Haussmann とのコラボレーションをはじめ、Wolf Alice や Khruangbin のための作品制作、さらに The New York Times Book Review の表紙制作など、多様な分野へ表現を広げている。  Artist and illustrator based in France. 1988年京都生まれ。大阪在住。 2011年、京都精華大学デザイン学部ビジュアルデザイン学科イラストレーションコース卒業。  浮世絵をはじめとする過去の美術表現から影響を受けつつ、現代的な感覚を織り込みながら制作を行う。昔と今、時間のつながりや流れをテーマに、繊細な描写と静かな物語性を湛えた作品を展開している。国内外のアートフェアや個展を中心に発表を重ねるほか、作品集『THE VISUAL 巻田はるか作品集日々の花束』（トゥーヴァージンズ）を刊行。  Born in Kyoto in 1988. Currently based in Osaka. Graduated in 2011 from the Illustration Course, Department of Visual Design, Faculty of Design at Kyoto Seika University.  Influenced by historical artistic expressions such as ukiyo-e, the artist creates works that incorporate contemporary sensibilities while drawing from traditional aesthetics. Exploring themes of the connection and flow of time between past and present, the artist develops works characterized by delicate depictions and quiet narrative qualities. In addition to exhibiting primarily through solo exhibitions and art fairs in Japan and abroad, the artist has published the art book *THE VISUAL: Haruka Makita Works – Bouquets of Everyday Life* (Two Virgins).
