僕の絵の多くには、空に散りばめられた星の背景が描かれています。
それは幼き頃に旅先で見た空でもあり、宇宙そのものでもあり、あるいはどこか別の惑星か
ら見た、想像上の空かもしれません。
量子力学に触れる中で、世界のあり方についてひとつの考え方を知りました。
私たちの選択や出来事に応じて、世界が重なり合いながら並行して存在しているとする、
「多世界解釈」と呼ばれるものです。
僕たちは日々、無数の選択を重ねて今を生きています。
もし選ばなかった道にも、それぞれの時間が流れているとしたら。
そこには、別の人生を歩む自分がいるのかもしれません。
そう考えると、世界はひとつではなく、想像もつかない広がりを持っているように感じられ
るのです。
認識することのできないそれらの世界の空は、どのように見えるのでしょうか。
アトリエの縁側から空を眺めるたびに、そんなことを思います。
絵の中から、無数に広がるかもしれない世界の気配を感じ取り、皆様に物語を自由に紡いで
いただけたなら幸いです。

オーガ ベン略歴
1971年愛媛県松山市生れ。大阪総合デザイン専門学校 絵本科修了。国内外で個展、グループ展多数。「若き画家たちからのメッセージ展」大賞、「日本の自然を描く展」彫刻の森美術館賞。三好典彦『漱石の病と「夢十夜」』、松谷みよこ『現代民話考』他、表紙画多数。BSフジ『ブレイク前夜 ～次世代の芸術家たち～』出演。詩画集「夜鳥の手帳」出版（ギャラリー枝香庵 出版企画部） 。2020年大一ガスCM（南海放送）出演。2021年「見知らぬ友」マルセロ・ビルマヘール著（福音館書店）装丁画。2024年詩画集「こころの宇宙」出版。

Many of my paintings feature skies filled with countless stars.
That may be the sky I saw while travelling when I was a child, or space itself, or perhaps imaginary sky viewed from a distant planet.
As I became interested in quantum mechanics, I encountered a fascinating idea about the nature of reality: the Many-Worlds Interpretation.
According to this theory, multiple worlds exist simultaneously, branching and overlapping in response to our choices.
Every day, we make countless decisions that shape our lives.
What if time continues to flow along the paths we did not choose?
Perhaps, in those parallel worlds, there are other versions of ourselves living entirely different lives.
When I think about it this way, the universe no longer feels singular. It seems to possess vastness beyond imagination instead.
What could the skies of those unseen worlds look like?
I wonder like that whenever I look up at the sky from my studio veranda.
I would be delighted If you could sense of these countless possible worlds through my paintings and make your own stories from them.
