ゴッホ展を訪れて ― 「耕された畑」1888年9月
先日、東京上野で開催しているゴッホ展を訪れました。
展示作品の中で特に心を動かされたのは、アルル時代の《耕された畑》（1888年9月）です。この一枚に出会えたことは大きな収穫でした。
キャンバスの上で渦を巻くように動くマチエール。
太陽を浴びて燃えるような色面。
遠くに見える家々や畑を包み込む光の強さ。
まさに“画家が南仏の空気そのものを描こうとした瞬間”がそこにあります。
オランダ時代の暗いトーンや、パリで学んだ印象派の明るさを経て、アルルとサン＝レミでの制作はゴッホにとって「爆発の季節」だったと改めて感じました。
作品の前に立つと、その生命力に圧倒されます。

🎨 Visiting the Van Gogh Exhibition – Ploughed Fields, September 1888
I recently visited the Van Gogh exhibition, now on display in Ueno, Tokyo.
Among all the works on display, the one that moved me most deeply was "Ploughed Fields" (September 1888), painted during his time in Arles.
Encountering this piece was truly a highlight of the exhibition.
The swirling impasto across the canvas,
the sunlit, fiery patches of colour,
and the intense light embracing the distant houses and fields—
it all felt like the very moment when the artist sought to paint
the air and sunlight of southern France itself.
After the dark tones of his Dutch years and
the brighter palette of his time in Paris,
The works from Arles and Saint-Rémy seem to mark Van Gogh’s
true “season of explosion.”
Standing before the painting, one can feel its raw vitality and energy radiating outward.
