Our trees, many of which are several hundred years old, are shown throughout the garden and displayed for your enjoyment in the traditional Japanese tokonoma alcoves inside the museum. We are eager to show you around and explain some of the aspects of bonsai appreciation and cultivation.

Join a rare small-group bonsai residency at Shunkaen BONSAI Museum and learn directly from Kunio Kobayashi.

This is not a casual workshop, but an immersive training experience in bonsai creation, cultivation, repotting, display, and Japanese aesthetics.
