ファッションの色彩、街角のグラフィック、ふとした瞬間の空の色。私たちの感覚を通り過ぎていく膨大な情報の断片を、アヒ・チョイは独自の視覚言語へと編みなおします。それは単なる記録ではなく、意識の底に沈みかけた「日常」を鮮やかなリズムで再構築する試みです。

本展では、無意識が捉えた色の結晶を並べた「365 inspiration」から、旅の空気感を色の重なりで表現した「Field Sketches」、そしてドラえもんやポパイといった共通のアイコンに新たな命を吹き込む「Re: character」まで、作家の思考の旅路を辿ります。親しみのあるイメージが「Ahhi柄」というフィルターを通じ、全く新しい表情を持って立ち上がる瞬間をぜひ目撃してください。

Ahhi Choi captures the visual fragments that define our world—the palette of a passerby’s outfit, the fading light of the sky, or the static of a city billboard. Rather than letting these moments vanish, Choi weaves them into a structured visual language, reassembling the everyday into something rhythmic and permanent.

The exhibition maps his creative evolution: from ”365 inspiration,“ which distills sensations into abstract color fields, to ”Field Sketches“ that layer the very atmosphere of his travels. In his ”Re: character“ series, Choi applies his signature ”Ahhi Pattern“ to global icons like Doraemon and Popeye, bridging the gap between pop culture and fine art.

橋爪悠也個展『 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 』を、作家本人の解説とともに。

私たちは日々、ファッションや街の灯り、移ろいゆく空といった膨大な視覚情報のなかを生きています。それらは確かに五感を刺激しますが、多くは記憶に残らぬまま過ぎ去ってゆくもの。アヒ・チョイを捉えてやまないのが、この「見過ごされてきた時間」です。

無意識の心の動きに従い、色や形の断片をすくいあげて形づくられる独自の「Ahhi柄」。本展では「発見（inspiration）」「記憶（sketch）」「再定義（re: character）」という三段階のプロセスを辿り、日常が普遍的なイメージへと再構築される軌跡をご紹介します。日々の景色の中に潜むリズムを、ぜひ会場で再発見してください。

Whitestone Ginza New Gallery is pleased to present '𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗱𝗮𝘆' by Ahhi Choi from May 8th to May 30th, 2026. Our lives are immersed in a flow of visual information—fashion, advertisements, and the shifting colors of the sky. While these elements shape the city around us, they often pass by without leaving a trace in our memory.

Choi captures this "overlooked time." Guided by the unconscious movements of the mind, he gathers fragments of color and form to create his signature "Ahhi Pattern." Through three series: "365 inspiration," "Field Sketches," and "Re: character"— Choi reweaves the mundane into universal imagery, inviting us to rediscover the rhythm in our own daily lives.

藤原志保は、墨と和紙という伝統的な素材を用いて、前人未踏の抽象表現を追求してきました。

和紙を折り畳み、墨に浸し、乾燥の過程で生じる自然現象を捉える彼女の制作。時には、表から描いた墨が裏まで突き抜けたその表情にこそ、作為のない「自分自身の真実」を見出すといいます。ギャラリーの1階から2階へと続く、表現の軌跡。物質的な表面を越え、空間へと響き渡る藤原志保のビジョンをぜひ映像で、そして会場でご体感ください。

Shiho Fujiwara has long pursued an unprecedented form of abstract expression using traditional ink and washi paper.

Her unique process involves folding paper and submerging it in ink, capturing the natural phenomena that occur during the drying process. Through this exploration, she discovered that when the ink “seeps through” to the back of the paper, it reveals an honest, unintended truth of her self.

Explore the trajectory of her work alongside our gallerist on the 1st and 2nd floors, and witness how her vision transcends the physical surface to resonate within the space.

橋爪作品の魅力は、私たちの記憶の底にあるイメージを呼び起こすような親しみやすさにあります。「あらゆる表現は踏襲の上に成り立つのではないか」という問いから、彼は慣れ親しんだフォルムを独自のフィルターで再構築してきました。

Yuya Hashizume explores the resonance between familiarity and originality.

Hashizume’s work taps into our collective nostalgia, using recognizable forms to ask where one’s influence ends and true “originality” begins. By reinterpreting these visual memories through his own lens, he invites us to reconsider our relationship with the images we see every day.

In this exhibition, Hashizume moves away from traditional canvas, experimenting with “Naoron”—a specialized Japanese paper. This shift reflects his desire to create art that feels “light,” accessible, and at home in our daily lives.

橋爪悠也による個展『𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽』を、2026年4月25日から5月31日まで、軽井沢ニューアートミュージアム内のホワイトストーンギャラリー軽井沢にて開催いたします。

本展では、作り手と世界を繋ぐ目に見えない糸を辿ります。画材の原料を作る人から、完成した作品を評価する鑑賞者まで。橋爪は、一枚の絵が存続するために必要な、あらゆる「関係性（Relationship）」に改めて光を当てました。

橋爪の代表作は、一粒の涙を流すミニマルな肖像画《eyewater》シリーズです。藤子・F・不二雄のキャラクターを彷彿とさせる親しみやすいマンガ調のタッチで描かれたその「涙」は、特定の物語を語るのではなく、見る人自身の感情や記憶を映し出す鏡（インターフェース）のように機能します。

展示は、2025年までの軌跡を辿る「まで（Gallery 2）」と、山梨の老舗・大直の和紙「ナオロン」を用いた新作が並ぶ「から（Gallery 3）」の2部構成。伝統的な素材感と現代の感性が融合する空間を、ぜひ会場で体感してください。

We are pleased to announce Yuya Hashizume’s solo exhibition, ’𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽’, on view at Whitestone Gallery Karuizawa (Karuizawa New Art Museum) from April 25th to May 31st, 2026.

At the heart of Hashizume’s work is the “eyewater” series—minimalist, manga-style portraits featuring a single, poignant tear reminiscent of Fujiko F. Fujio’s characters. Rather than illustrating a specific story, these familiar yet evocative figures act as an interface, allowing viewers to project their own emotions and experiences onto the artwork.

The exhibition explores the invisible threads that connect a creator to the world. From the craftsmen who produce raw materials to the audience who evaluates the final piece, Hashizume reflects on the many “relationships” that sustain the life of a painting.

The presentation is divided into two chapters: “Until” (Gallery 2), showcasing his journey through 2025, and “From” (Gallery 3), debuting tactile new works made with Naoron paper from the historic manufacturer Onao.

真のアートとは、磨き上げられた表面にあるのではなく、積み重ねられた人生の生々しく複雑な層の奥底に宿るものです。

看護師として数十年にわたり「生と死」の境界に立ち続けてきた藤原志保にとって、その経験こそが彼女の作品の中を流れる「墨」そのものとなりました。

竹入りの和紙を折り畳み、墨に浸すことで、彼女は表現を素材そのものに委ねます。水分が蒸発するにつれ、墨の粒子は毛管現象によって移動し、作為のない極めて自然な「線」を描き出します。これらの作品は、混迷と剥き出しの生の中に潜む真実を捉えています。

True art isn’t found in polished surfaces, but in the raw, complex layers of a life lived. For Shiho Fujiwara, her decades spent as a nurse facing the threshold of life and death became the very ink that flows through her work.

By folding bamboo Washi paper and dipping it into ink, she allows the medium to take over. As the water evaporates, ink particles migrate through capillary action, forming “lines” that are entirely natural and unforced. These works capture a truth found within the complex and the raw.

In PT.2 of our walk-through, Dai Ying introduces the “M-Theory” series—where double helices and celestial orbits reveal the invisible link between individual life and the universe.
