🎵Passeggiata Musicale della Principessa Carlotta. Echi Romantici del Paesaggio
20 settembre, ore 11.00

Una passeggiata tra musica e natura nel parco botanico di Villa Carlotta, sulle note delle più belle melodie dell’Ottocento ispirate al paesaggio, al bosco e agli elementi naturali.
Ad accompagnarci, il mezzosoprano Elena Putrino e il maestro Roberto Bottini alla fisarmonica, insieme a un giardiniere della Villa: un percorso in cui il giardino si rivela attraverso parole e musica.

In collaborazione con LacMus Festival.
A cura di Paola Colombo Mazzucchelli, Responsabile di LacMus Educational.
La visita è parte del programma di celebrazione per il bicentenario della nascita del Duca Giorgio II.

Di padre in figlio, la passione per l’arte

Il duca Giorgio II di Sassonia-Meiningen, grande appassionato d’arte, trasmise questa passione anche al figlio Ernst, al quale commissionò un’affresco per una parete di Villa Carlotta.

La direttrice della villa, Mariangela Previtera, ci accompagna alla scoperta della storia dietro quest’opera.

Duke George II of Saxe-Meiningen, a great art enthusiast, passed his passion for art on to his son Ernst, whom he commissioned to create a fresco for a wall at Villa Carlotta.

Il maltempo che nei giorni scorsi ha colpito il Lago di Como ha causato diversi danni anche al giardino di Villa Carlotta.
Da allora, i nostri giardinieri sono al lavoro senza sosta: controllano, sistemano, mettono in sicurezza e si prendono cura delle piante e degli spazi del giardino, con la competenza e l’attenzione che questo luogo richiede ogni giorno.

Un lavoro intenso e prezioso, che continua mentre Villa Carlotta torna gradualmente ad accogliere i suoi visitatori nei suoi spazi.
Sono aperti al pubblico il Giardino all’Italiana, il museo e il retro della Villa, oltre al bookshop e al bistrot.
Vi aspettiamo per godere insieme delle ultime giornate d’estate☀️

The bad weather that hit Lake Como in recent days has also caused significant damage to the gardens of Villa Carlotta.
Since then, our gardeners have been working tirelessly: inspecting, restoring and securing the grounds, while caring for the plants and garden spaces with the expertise and attention this special place requires every day.

It is demanding and invaluable work, continuing as Villa Carlotta gradually welcomes visitors back to its spaces.
The Italian Garden, the museum and the rear grounds of the Villa are open to the public, along with the bookshop and bistro.

✨ Nell’ambito delle celebrazioni per il bicentenario del duca Giorgio II di Sassonia-Meningenn, dal 18 settembre all’8 dicembre, Villa Carlotta aprirà le sue porte a “Dinastie d’Europa”.
Una mostra dedicata alla storia che, tra Ottocento e Novecento, vide la villa al centro delle relazioni tra alcune delle più importanti dinastie europee.

Attraverso arredi, documenti d’archivio, fotografie e oggetti d’epoca, il percorso espositivo racconta la storia che portò la principessa Carlotta di Prussia e il duca Giorgio II di Sachsen-Meiningen sul Lago di Como.

✨ In the context of the celebrations marking the bicentenary of Duke George II of Saxe-Meiningen, from 18 September to 8 December, Villa Carlotta will open its doors “Dynasties of Europe”.
The exhibition dedicated to the history that, between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, saw the villa at the centre of relations between some of the most important European dynasties.

Through furnishings, archival documents, photographs, and period objects, the exhibition tells the story that brought Princess Charlotte of Prussia and Duke George II of Sachsen-Meiningen to Lake Como.

☀️ Summer camp a Villa Carlotta

Tra laboratori artistici e manuali, giochi all’aperto, passeggiate nel parco, letture e tante avventure, i piccoli esploratori della Villa hanno vissuto settimane indimenticabili, imparando, creando e divertendosi insieme.
Grazie a tutte le famiglie dei bambini e delle bambine che hanno scelto di condividere con noi un pezzetto della loro estate.

Entro il 25 agosto è possibile iscriversi all’ultimo Summer Camp che si terrà dal 7 all’11 settembre .
