Oggi parliamo di texture.
Nel 1927 Fortunato Depero immagina Campari come materia viva, da costruire e da toccare. Quella che vedi in queste foto, che appare come una semplice immagine è, in realtà, una tarsia: un’opera fatta di incastri, superfici e spessori. Le forme si sovrappongono, i colori si incastrano come tessere, creando una texture vibrante che amplifica il ritmo visivo della scena.
Il manifesto diventa così oggetto: non più solo da guardare, ma quasi da percorrere con lo sguardo, seguendo i margini netti, le diagonali, il dialogo tra pieno e vuoto.
Con Depero, la pubblicità supera la bidimensionalità e si fa esperienza tattile, anticipando una visione dell’immagine come costruzione concreta, dinamica, profondamente moderna.

Today we’re talking about textures.
In 1927, Fortunato Depero imagined Campari as a living material, to be constructed and touched. What you see in these photos, which appears to be a simple image, is in fact a marquetry piece: a work made up of interlocking elements, surfaces and layers. The shapes overlap, the colours fit together like tiles, creating a vibrant texture that amplifies the visual rhythm of the scene.
The poster thus becomes an object: no longer just something to look at, but almost something to explore with your eyes, following the sharp edges, the diagonals, and the interplay between solid and void.
With Depero, advertising transcends two-dimensionality and becomes a tactile experience, anticipating a vision of the image as a concrete, dynamic and profoundly modern construction.
