Siamo contenti di annunciare ‘Melancholia’, la personale di Chiara Fantaccione per THEPÒSITO Art Space curata da Valentina Muzi che aprirà al pubblico sabato 12 aprile. La mostra esplora la rappresentazione idealizzata della Natura e del paesaggio, il lavoro dell’artista attribuisce ad esso caratteristiche appartenenti alla sfera umana, collegando il tema della malinconia alla dimensione tecnologica e ai fallimenti del digitale attraverso una connotazione seduttiva ed estetizzante.

We are pleased to announce ‘Melancholia’, the solo show by Chiara Fantaccione for THEPÒSITO Art Space curated by Valentina Muzi, which will open to the public on Saturday 12 April. The exhibition explores the idealized representation of Nature and landscape, the artist’s research attributes to these features characteristics belonging to the human beings; linking the issue of melancholy to the technological dimension and digital failures through a seductive and aesthetising connotation.

‘Time Within the Signs’ va avanti fino al 30 marzo. In mostra Laura Santamaria, con lavori della serie ‘Blacksmoke’, utilizza il nerofumo come traccia materica per rappresentare le orbite e i cicli astrali, unendo la materia primordiale dell’universo ai processi che scandiscono la vita quotidiana.

‘Time Within the Signs’ is going through March 30th. On view Laura Santamaria, with works from the series ‘Blacksmoke’, uses nerofumo (carbon black) as a material trace to represent the orbits and astral cycles, joining the primordial matter of the universe to the processes that shape our lives.

In attesa dell’opening del 15 febbraio ecco l’ultima artista di ‘Time Within the Signs’.

Laura Santamaria (Monza, 1976). Si forma all’Accademia di Brera di Milano e successivamente alla Loughborough University School of Art and Design. Le sue opere e progetti site-specific spesso presentano allo spettatore un parallelismo tra micro e macro cosmo riflettendo su sistemi e processi di interconnessione. Ha all’attivo mostre in musei e istituzioni internazionali come la Whitechapel Gallery di Londra (2015) e il MAC Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, A Coruña (2019). Fondatrice e curatrice di ‘Drawings from Lightning’, un progetto multidisciplinare internazionale focalizzato sul disegno contemporaneo. L’artista torna a Narni quasi un anno dopo la sua personale ‘orbite sacre corpi celesti’.

Laura Santamaria (Monza, 1976). Graduated from Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and later specialized from the Loughborough University School of Art and Design. Her site-specific projects and sculptures often present the viewer a parallelism between the micro and macro cosmos, thus reflecting on systems and processes of interconnectivity. Her multidisciplinary practice has been exhibited in museums and international institutions such as the Whitechapel Gallery in London (2015) and the MAC Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, A Coruña (2019). Founder and curator of ‘Drawings from Lightning’, a multidisciplinary project focused on contemporary drawing. The exhibition marks the artist’s return to Narni almost a year after her solo show ‘sacred orbits celestial bodies’.

Waiting for the opening of February 15 here’s the second artist on view in ‘Time Within the Signs’.

Erica Ferraroni (Sassuolo, 1984). Her artistic approach focuses on discovering unexpected beauty in the little things of everyday life. The technique of Still Life allows her to balance the chaos of the world, creating silent and essential images. She has a natural aversion to the ‘unnecessary’. With a sensitive eye for beauty, she works exclusively with natural light, opening space to the element of unpredictability.

Erica Ferraroni (Sassuolo, 1984). Il suo approccio artistico si concentra sulla scoperta di una bellezza inaspettata nelle piccole cose quotidiane. La tecnica dello Still Life le permette di bilanciare il caos del mondo, creando immagini silenziose ed essenziali. Possiede un’avversione naturale per il ‘superfluo’. Con uno sguardo sensibile alla bellezza, lavora esclusivamente con la luce naturale, aprendo spazio all’elemento dell’imprevedibilità.

Meri Tancredi (L’Aquila, 1976), con il suo lavoro l’artista esplora il concetto di tempo e la sua connessione profonda con la vita umana, traducendo questa riflessione in opere che oscillano tra luce, memoria e percezione. Dalle sue installazioni luminose ai video in cui cattura l’essenza dello scorrere del tempo, ogni dettaglio diventa un segno da decifrare. La mostra segna anche la prima collaborazione con l’artista.

Waiting for the opening of February 15 here are the artists of ‘Time Within the Signs’.

Meri Tancredi (L’Aquila, 1976), with her work the artist explores the concept of time and its deep connection with human life, translating this reflection in works that oscillate between light, memory and perception. From her light installations to video works in which she captures the essence of the flow of time, every detail becomes a sign to decipher. The exhibition also marks the first collaboration with the artist.

We are pleased to announce ‘Time Within the Signs’, the first group show at THEPÒSITO Art Space which will open to the public on Saturday 15 of February. The exhibition brings together the works of three artists - Erica Ferraroni, Laura Santamaria and Meri Tancredi - in a dialogue that explores Time and Cosmos reinterpreting the figure of the oracle. The project focuses on the concept whereby the artist is configured as a contemporary oracle, capable of transforming the perception of the world in a language that escapes linearity, putting us before a deep reflection on the relationship between time, reality and imagination.

Siamo contenti di annunciare ‘Time Within the Signs’, il primo group show di THEPÒSITO Art Space che aprirà al pubblico sabato 15 febbraio. La mostra riunisce le opere di tre artiste - Erica Ferraroni, Laura Santamaria e Meri Tancredi - in un dialogo che esplora Tempo e Cosmo reinterpretando la figura oracolare. Il progetto si focalizza intorno al concetto per cui l’artista si configura come un oracolo contemporaneo, capace di trasformare la percezione del mondo in un linguaggio che sfugge alla linearità, ponendoci di fronte a una riflessione profonda sul rapporto tra tempo, realtà e immaginazione.

Le opere di Sasha Toli si decifrano nel concetto della filosofia postmoderna legato alla Decostruzione di Jacques Derrida implicando l’analisi critica dei testi per smascherare significati nascosti. Attraverso la distruzione psichedelica delle strutture superficiali, si rivelano strati più profondi di significato. Per questo il lavoro dell’artista si regge al confine tra distruzione e rivelazione.

Sasha Toli’s works are decipher to fit perfectly into the concept of postmodern philosophy related to Jacques Derrida’s Deconstruction theories by implying the critical analysis of texts to expose hidden meanings. Through the psychedelic destruction of surface structures, deeper layers of meaning are revealed. For this reason the artist work stands on the border between destruction and revelation.

Ex Allievo del maestro Concetto Pozzati, poi diplomato presso la scuola Aspic di Roma in Arte-terapie e counseling espressivo, da sempre intreccia l’attività grafico espressiva con quella di designer e art director. Vive la sua esperienza artistica con una visione includente cercando di introdurre anche i più piccoli in una poetica di decostruzione della realtà e del linguaggio, nutrendosi sempre di alterità e lontananze, pur cercando di mantenere una genuinità profondamente locale. ┉ A traveler/artist who has made his main source of inspiration the dialogue between cultures and between real or metaphorical distant places.
