Erjon Nazeraj – Landscapes of Silence and Time | Paesaggi di Silenzio e Tempo

Erjon Nazeraj’s work explores the delicate intersection of memory, identity, and transformation. His upcoming solo exhibition, Landscapes of Silence and Time, will be held in Venice at **Fabbrica H3** in January 2025, curated by **Marta Blanchietti and Eleonora Da Col**. Through **sculpture, bas-relief, and watercolor**, Nazeraj dissolves historical and geographical boundaries, transforming migration, memory, and identity into a universal experience. The exhibition finds its perfect resonance in the former **Church of SS. Cosma and Damiano**, a space that, like his works, has undergone multiple metamorphoses over centuries, now an innovation hub in the heart of **Venice**.

The gallery is pleased to explore Erjon Nazeraj’s artistic vision through the works featured in Landscapes of Silence and Time. DM for inquiries

This solo exhibition examines the relationship between identity, memory, and temporal stratification, placing the viewer in a suspended space between past and present.

Through sculptures, bas-reliefs, and watercolors, Nazeraj liberates forms from historical and geographical constraints, developing an essential and abstract visual language. White dominates the space as a silent echo of migrating souls, while blue and gold appear intermittently, recalling fragments of real and imagined geographies.

His works transform the physical journey into a spiritual path, where maps and overlapping narratives reflect an inner time that transcends history, becoming a deeply existential condition.

The choice of Fabbrica H3 – the former Church of SS. Cosma e Damiano – is highly symbolic. This site, evolving from a sacred space to an industrial factory and now an innovation hub, embodies the layered memory that defines Nazeraj’s work.

Landscapes of Silence and Time is an invitation to explore silence and memory as dynamic forces that redefine individual and collective identity.

The large-scale painting Air Space by Manuel Bonfanti becomes part of the permanent collection of Spazio Viterbi in Bergamo. The 3x2 meter mixed-media artwork, created in 2019, is the culmination of a seven-year research on mystical spatialism. The donation to the Province of Bergamo coincides with the closing of the exhibition 10+ Modern Art, which has brought together artists from Bergamo and Venice.

We are pleased to invite you to visit the exhibition The Gold and the Black, dedicated to the work of Pietro Finelli, by appointment.

This exhibition explores the “places” of painting through the chromatic dominants of gold and black, which are not merely aesthetic elements but also devices for investigating spaces, volumes, and visual occurrences.

From his use of canvas and gold leaf in the 1980s to the deconstruction of cinematic narrative in his most recent works, Finelli’s research spans eras and languages, consistently focusing on a profound reflection on the essence of painting.

Among the featured works, you will find:
• Iconic oil paintings on gilded surfaces from the “Golden Period” (1990s–2000s).
• Creations from the “Noir” cycle, where painting interacts with cinematic language.
• Unpublished works of recent production.

The exhibition continues the journey initiated at the Palazzetto della Torre in Venice, enriched on this occasion with new perspectives. The catalog includes a critical essay by Roberto Lacarbonara.

The exhibition will subsequently be hosted at Nami Gallery in Naples.

To schedule your visit, please contact us directly. Don’t miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in the visual universe of Pietro Finelli.

L’Oro e il Nero
Milano, Area35 Art Gallery
Inaugurazione: 28 novembre 2024, ore 18
Mostra: 29 novembre 2024 – 30 gennaio 2025

The exhibition title, “L’Oro e il Nero” (Gold and Black), highlights the most distinctive elements of Pietro Finelli’s work. Gold and black are not merely chromatic choices but define the spaces, volumes, and visual narratives of his painting.

The exhibition features works from the “golden period” (1990s–2000s), alongside “Noir” pieces and newly produced, previously unseen works, continuing from the Venetian presentation at Palazzetto della Torre.

Catalogue essay by Roberto Lacarbonara.

SOLO EXHIBITION @ DUOMO DI MASSA
Massa, Maggio – Luglio 2017

Massa, May – July 2017

As part of the cycle *Geographies of the Gaze. Towards a New Iconography of Inclusion*, the Diocese of Massa hosted the solo exhibition of Federico Garibaldi, *BlueShores*. The photographs, taken between 2012 and 2016, were exhibited in the cloister and crypt of the cathedral.

The works, previously displayed in prestigious venues such as Unicredit Pavillon and Triennale di Milano, explored the theme of the Adriatic coast, reinterpreted through a digital superimposition technique. The pieces reflected on concepts of boundary and inclusion, offering a fragmented and dreamlike vision of the beach, poised between vacation and migration.

The exhibition concluded with a site-specific tribute to the city of Massa, where the Torre Fiat was reinterpreted in relation to the sacred space of the cathedral.

Oasi - Project Room by Davide Genna
Curated by Anna Vittoria Magagna
Galleria Area 35, Via Vigevano 35, Milan
Inauguration: June 6, 18:00 - 21:00
On view until June 24, 2024

Galleria Area 35 presents **Oasi**, a project room by Davide Genna (1983, Milan), a conceptual artist known for his three-dimensional forms. Curated by Anna Vittoria Magagna, this exhibition is conceived as an enclave within the urban fabric, transforming into a mirage that constantly evolves. It fragments the present into modules of geometries, ancestral figures, and collage flows, creating intricate and harmonious compositions.

Genna explores the relationship between figure and background, often referencing archetypes, classic and sacred figurations, Renaissance profiles, surrealism, and material emblems. The exhibited works are organized following these poetic registers, intersecting the figure of a dancing satyr with a complex geometric space that highlights the female form, balancing transgression and reverence. Faces are often emptied of their traits in favor of elements that enhance the symbolism of the compositions, using cutouts, fabrics, or shapes to investigate and rhythmically define the space.

**Oasi** tells the story of a regenerative platform where the artist’s work becomes a fleeting apparition, a journey through the representation and symbolism of human complexity, marked by harmonious juxtapositions of geometries and colors. .davide
