is meant to give the chance to visit Sicily with a friendly local hostess.

A while ago I met by chance and helped an American lady to find traces of her ancestors who came from a Sicilian village next to mine in Sicily. This experience was very meaningful to me, I’ve have always liked to take my guests around my place, sightseeing and telling the story of my town. The family story of that lady made me think of the many Italian Americans and their deep love for their root

s and family history and the chances I can have to put them in contact with their past. My name is Mariagrazia, my friends abroad and students call me Grace. I’m 58, I’m a proud Sicilian and live in a small village on the Tyrrhenian coast called Rometta, in the province of Messina near Milazzo. I’m a qualified CELTA teacher of English to adults with more than 30-year experience and a teacher of Italian to non-natives. My project combines my love for English language and meeting people, with my love for my place and all main things I like doing in my free time: outdoor and keep fit activities, kayaking, cooking, sightseeing, and hanging out with friends. Travelling has helped me a lot to overcome harsh time in life and I would be honored to give someone the opportunity to travel safely and organized in Sicily. If you like to share all this and the idea of touring Sicily with a friendly hostess who can free you from stress and let you relax and embrace the whole Italian experience,

Is for you
It is intended for small groups (two or three people) preferably ladies, who would feel safer travelling with a local. In Sicily you may choose from a variety of landscapes and activities:
from long relaxing walks on the beach to kayak/SUP trips or excursions on hills and volcanoes. Sightseeing of main towns or quaint villages with monuments, castles, museums and churches. Boat tours to the Eolian Islands or the mainland and:
Italian language classes, cooking classes, food shopping in street markets, keep fit sessions, dancing or horse riding and diving. Just let me know what you like and I will customize the holiday according to your needs and tastes. As for the prices, once we have customized your holiday, you will get a list of expenses (B&B or hotel, car transfers, entrance fees, etc.) I thank you in advance for your attention and look forward to hearing from you soon.
