This seminal exhibition includesthe works of ten artists Andre, Jo Bear, Dan Flavin, Donald Judd, LeWitt, Agnes Martin, Morris, Reinhardt, Smithson and Michael Steiner. The idea for the show stems from conversations among Dwan, Reinhardt, and Smithson. Together they organize “10” with the help of Morris. Smithson pens a text but none of the artists can agree on it and the show is instead named after the number of artists; there is no statement. However, a small catalog including of the
instalation and artworks is produced”. (Paige Rozanski in “Virginia Dwan Chronology”, cfr. “Dwan Gallery 1959 - 1971”, Chicago, Chicago Press, 2017)
