È passato un anno dal nostro ultimo post. Siamo state molto impegnate. Presto faremo dei post con aggiornamenti sui nostri progetti del 2021. Intanto tantissimi auguri a tutti voi con un dettaglio da Palazzo Pitti a Firenze.

This Chinese imperial Jifu, a blue silk gauze summer robe was made during the Qing dynasty (1644–1911), the last Chinese Empire, ruled by the Manchu people. It has a vibrant marine-blue ground and is finely embroidered with eight five-clawed dragons and other motives. Symbolism is a keynote to all Chinese decorative arts. For the exhibition "Harold in China" ( https://lapietra.nyu.edu/project/harold-in-china-1932-1939-photographs-from-the-acton-collection/ ) we observed the robe closely and stabilized and prepared it for display.
