«The potential for unlimited reproduction of media images in my artistic process serves as an endless source for further manipulation and technical processing. The creation process involves selecting, appropriating, and deconstructing film frames, thorough digital editing of fragments, montage, collage, and then transferring them onto canvas. This so-called post-digital artistic gesture applies an archaeological approach in selecting templates that are meticulously reviewed, digitally reorganized, and materialized using traditional oil painting techniques.»

Born in Bogota, Colombia, Federico Uribe lives and works in Miami. His artwork resists classification. Rooted in the craft of sculpture and paint, it rises from intertwining everyday objects in all possible and surprising ways, but still with a formal reference to the history and tradition of classical art.

The sculptures he creates are not sculpted but constructed and weaved, in curious and unpredictable, repetitive and almost compulsive ways. By connecting objects in such fresh ways, Uribe reflects on Nature’s pivotal presence and in the process, he goes full circle and gives back to Nature what was taken from her: as trees are turned into books, Federico turns books into trees, leather shoes into animals, while the use of bullets and cartridges to bring a fox or a rabbit back to life might illustrate dramatically the brutal annihilation of wildlife all around our planet. Uribe’s use of bullet shells plays with the juxtaposition between playful or noble subject matter and an emblematically dangerous medium.

creates art that surprises and engages through meticulously constructed assemblages of unconventional materials like bullet shells and colored pencils. His sculptures are woven in repetitive, unpredictable patterns, resulting in whimsical yet highly communicative works.
By using bullet shells, Uribe juxtaposes a dangerous medium with lively depictions of animals and plants, reflecting nature's innocence. While his materials may evoke political or philosophical debate, his primary goal is to inspire viewers to see everyday objects in a fresh, optimistic light.

We are pleased to announce that artist has earned two prestigious accolades: the Vladimir Veličković Foundation Drawing Award and, last month, the Prisma Art Prize.

The traditional exhibition of the winners of the Vladimir Veličković Foundation Drawing Award was inaugurated on Tuesday, December 17th, at the Haos Gallery in Belgrade and will run until January 11th, 2025. This annual exhibition celebrates excellence in drawing, showcasing works of great artistic and conceptual impact. Veljko Vučković’s exhibition features a series of graphite drawings inspired by cinematic sequences. These extraordinary works provoke deep reflections on social and political themes, offering audiences the opportunity to explore multiple interpretive layers.

In the exhibition catalog, remarks that Veljko's work occupies a suspended, intermediary space between its original context and the capacity for alternative interpretations, leading to a mutual convergence of possible conclusions:
"In this way, the artist becomes a researcher of the drawing process, while the viewer absorbs its content and completes its interpretations."

Another contributor, Azu Nwagbogu, emphasizes that the works featured in this exhibition represent Vučković's exploration of an intricate dialogue that penetrates the infinite flow of time:
"His works serve as artifacts of our era, reflecting the apparent speed of currents thus far unknown in human history, while embodying universal themes that endure over time."

We are thrilled to showcase 's artistic journey in Shanghai as part of the prestigious Artist Residency Program by the Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry (ICCI) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (), in collaboration with Aria Art Gallery.

On November 30, the 7th ICCI ART VALLEY Project Art Exhibition, titled "Song of the River: Echoes of the Anthropocene," hosted by the School of Cultural and Creative Industries at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, opened at the Carbon Factory Cultural and Creative Park. Artists from diverse countries gathered in Shanghai to delve into the evolution of human-nature relationships and explore the artistic collisions of virtual worlds in the digital age. Through the lens of cultural industry integration, the exhibition aspires to build a new artistic ecosystem.

-

Milija Čpajak, through an in-depth exploration of the essence of Shanghai-style culture and nature, embodies the mission of contemporary young artists in his work "Huangpu Delights." By fusing iconic Eastern freshwater mussel shells with intricate Western Rococo-style ornaments, he creates a unique cross-cultural visual language, vividly illustrating the intersection and harmony of nature and human culture in a global context.

Special thanks to curator for her support during the candidate selection process and for her expert coordination.

We are pleased to announce that Massimo Pulini's solo exhibition "Ex Profundis", at the Civic Museum San Rocco in Fusignano, has been extended until December 1, 2024. The exhibition is curated by Franco Pozzi.

-

"Ex Profundis" is a powerful, intimate, and profound exhibition in which the artist has brought the halls of the Civic Museum San Rocco back to hosting something they were familiar with in the past. The X-rays that serve as the backdrop to the stunning paintings are placed in a space that historically dealt with health, convalescence, and the vision of the human interior.

San Rocco Hospital served as a place of healing until the 1980s, when it was repurposed as a museum and transformed into one of the most beautiful and expansive exhibition spaces in Bassa Romagna. "Ex Profundis" is a serial and conceptual exhibition that touches the deepest chords of emotion, allowing visitors to reflect within the paintings and X-rays.

Pulini's solo show includes a variety of subjects, from animals to historical figures, funerary monuments, clock faces without hands, and letters from various alphabets. It offers viewers a multilayered experience, inviting them to immerse themselves deeply in its narratives.

"Lorenzo Tiepolo’s portrait reflects strong Spanish influence, identifiable by the mask worn by the woman, which differs from Venetian styles. His pastel portraits, learned from Rosalba Carriera, continue even after his father's death, revealing delicate craftsmanship. Veljko Vučković’s painting, Nothing Left Inside, featuring a masked clown, engages in dialogue with Tiepolo’s portrait of a woman. This exchange suggests associations with social and political events. "
