Few places tell the story of the passing of time as vividly as the former Manfredini Barracks in Cremona. Over the centuries, it has changed its function several times, evolving through different eras and profound transformations.
Today, this historic complex has been given a new lease of life as a university campus, featuring classrooms, laboratories, a library, an auditorium, student facilities, and extensive green areas designed for social interaction.
The enhancement of the campus also relies on light. The project integrates a range of lighting solutions designed to guide people through the outdoor spaces while highlighting the identity of the architectural complex.
Among the products used are 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 and 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝗼 for grazing illumination on the façades, and 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿 for pathways and gathering areas.
An example of how redevelopment can restore value to a place's heritage while looking toward the future.
