La Storia di Croce Rossa, là dove è nata
Il Museo Internazionale della Croce Rossa fondato da Enzo Boletti, voluto dalla città di Castiglione delle Stiviere e donato alla Croce Rossa Italiana, venne inaugurato il 25 giugno 1959 in occasione del centenario della nascita dell’idea. Ordinato nel Palazzo Longhi, dimora patrizia della metà del 1700, il Museo conserva le testimonianze scritte, gli oggetti, i documenti che ricordano la nascita e lo sviluppo del Movimento della Croce Rossa ideato dal ginevrino Henry Dunant, nei momenti successivi alla battaglia di S.Martino e Solferino (24 giugno 1859) Il Museo espone una preziosa collezione di lettighe in legno del 1800 trainate a mano ed a cavallo, ambulanze a motore del 1930, Una esposizione fotografica "L'Umanità in guerra" scatti su operazioni di soccorso dal 1865 ad oggi. Un settore è dedicato all'attività della riabilitazione delle persone ferite dalle mine antipersona.

The History of The Red Cross, where it was born
The International Museum of the Red Cross, founded by Enzo Boletti and the city of Castiglione, and donated to the Italian Red Cross, was inaugurated on June 25, 1959 on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of the idea. Arrangedin Palazzo Longhi, patrician residence in the mid-1700s, the Museum preserves the written testimonies, the objects, documents remember the birth and development of the Red Cross movement conceived by Henry Dunant of Geneva, in the aftermath of the battle of San Martino and Solferino (24 June 1859) The Museum exhibits a valuable collection of wooden stretchers of 1800 drawn by hand and on horseback, ambulances motor of 1930, the photo exhibition "Humanity in War" shots of rescue operations from 1865 to the present. One area is devoted to the activities of the rehabilitation of people injured by landmines.
