«La Val Senales dimostra che i paesaggi d’alta montagna non erano affatto soltanto aree marginali e isolate. Nel corso dei millenni, le persone li hanno utilizzati ripetutamente, in epoche diverse e per motivi differenti», afferma Andreas Putzer.

Da 15 anni, l’archeologo e curatore del Museo Archeologico dell’Alto Adige studia il paesaggio culturale alpino della Val Senales, combinando scavi archeologici, analisi archeobotaniche e fonti storiche scritte. Recentemente ha presentato i risultati delle sue ricerche al congresso europeo di archeologia EAA 2026 ad Atene.

„Das Schnalstal zeigt, dass hochalpine Landschaften keineswegs nur abgelegene Randgebiete waren. Menschen haben sie über Jahrtausende immer wieder genutzt – zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten aus unterschiedlichen Gründen“, sagt Andreas Putzer.

Seit 15 Jahren erforscht der Archäologe und Kurator des Südtiroler Archäologiemuseums die alpine Kulturlandschaft im Schnalstal. Dabei verbindet er archäologische Grabungen mit archäobotanischen Analysen und historischen Schriftquellen. Seine Forschungsergebnisse stellte er vergangenes Wochenende beim europäischen Archäologiekongress EAA 2026 in Athen vor.

🌿 Come faceva Ötzi a realizzare il fodero del pugnale e le sue scarpe? Durante l’Archeoweek organizzata dal Museo Archeologico dell’Alto Adige, i giovani archeologi hanno potuto sperimentare in prima persona come si lavora il libro del tiglio e ricostruire alcuni elementi dell’equipaggiamento di Ötzi. 🧶🌿 Archeologia da toccare, sperimentare e ricostruire… insieme! ✨

🌿 Wie hat Ötzi seine Dolchscheide und seine Schuhe hergestellt? Während der Archeoweek des Südtiroler Archäologiemuseums konnten die jungen Archäolog:innen selbst ausprobieren, wie man Lindenbast verarbeitet, und dabei einige Elemente aus Ötzis Ausstattung rekonstruieren. 🧶🌿 Archäologie zum Anfassen, Ausprobieren und Rekonstruieren! ✨

During Archeoweek at the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology, young budding archaeologists had the chance to try their hand at working with lime tree bast and reconstruct some elements of Ötzi’s equipment. 🧶🌿 Archaeology to touch, try out and reconstruct!✨

🏺 𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗮!
La mostra temporanea “UNDER PROPAGANDA – Archeologia tra guerra e pace” al Museo Archeologico dell’Alto Adige è stata prorogata fino al 7 novembre 2027. 📅
La mostra racconta un capitolo complesso della storia recente dell’Alto Adige: tra il 1920 e il 1972 anche l’archeologia finì sotto l’influenza della politica. In che modo reperti e interpretazioni scientifiche furono utilizzati durante il fascismo e il nazionalsocialismo per sostenere determinate ideologie? E come reagirono archeologhe e archeologi locali alle condizioni politiche del loro tempo? 🔎

🎓 La proroga offre soprattutto alle classi scolastiche una nuova opportunità per visitare la mostra e riflettere sul rapporto tra scienza, storia e propaganda politica.

Ad accompagnare la mostra ci sarà un ricco programma di visite guidate, workshop, visite teatralizzate e altri appuntamenti. 🎭✏️

🏺 𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔 𝘄𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹ä𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘁!
Unsere Sonderausstellung „UNDER PROPAGANDA – Archäologie zwischen Krieg und Frieden“ bleibt bis zum 7. November 2027 im Südtiroler Archäologiemuseum zu sehen. 📅

Die Ausstellung beleuchtet ein bewegtes Kapitel der jüngeren Südtiroler Geschichte: Zwischen 1920 und 1972 geriet auch die Archäologie in den Einflussbereich politischer Interessen. Wie wurden Funde während Faschismus und Nationalsozialismus für ideologische Zwecke gedeutet? Und wie gingen lokale Archäologinnen und Archäologen mit den politischen Rahmenbedingungen um? 🔎

🎓 Besonders freuen wir uns, dass damit auch 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗹𝗸𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻 im kommenden Schuljahr nochmals Gelegenheit haben, die Ausstellung zu besuchen und sich mit der Frage auseinanderzusetzen, wie Wissenschaft politisch instrumentalisiert werden kann.

Begleitet wird die Ausstellung von Führungen, Workshops, szenischen Führungen und weiteren Veranstaltungen. 🎭✏️
